I asked it on the live chat and never got much of a response so I'll ask on here. For those that don't think Rohl should be here next year (I am not one of them btw), who is it you want in as manager. Intrigued to see the responses, if any.

04 May 2026 20:45:20
Orange for me, we can't keep changing.

04 May 2026 20:45:51
Someone who knows how to manage a game and tweak tactics at the right times. Also someone who can make the right subs at the right time.

04 May 2026 20:46:30
Gerrard
Muscat
McCinnes

I'd look for a British manager with knowledge and or experience of Scottish football.

Must have won trophies.

04 May 2026 20:47:32
Does someone better count?

04 May 2026 20:51:44
I'll play. Tbh, I would have kept Ferguson. Now who knows, but the lack of guile and dig in that team is horrendous. Remember when Danny came in, Martin was accused of coaching the life out of them. Too rigid. Well, we now have the same problem. ??

04 May 2026 21:00:53
Orange T, we can't keep changing managers and I want Danny Rohl to be given a chance next season to build his own team. I absolutely think he deserves that chance. And, for the record, I definitely have absolutely no doubt Andrew Cavanagh will give Rohl that chance.

? We're all hurting yet again, but no knee jerk reaction from me. Danny Rohl to remain Rangers manager/head coach for next season. ???

04 May 2026 21:01:30
I would go for McInnes. Obvious, I know, but.

He knows the league and will have a winners medal round his neck in 2 weeks. It would also weaken Hearts.

Not convinced anything will change next year.

Under Rohl.

Terrible signings in the summer, not on Rohl, but strange ones in the winter window under him.

Players injured or lacking confidence. Tactics, formations and subs during games have been shocking. Where is Antman? Why stick with Olsen? Why loan Curtis? Why can't Miovski get a game? Where is Barron? Terrible game management is on Rohl. We are awful to watch and seem to have no fight.

I think his time is up.

04 May 2026 21:02:22
Rohl simply needs to go. Rangers is over its head.

Real question is who is still defending this loser.

04 May 2026 21:05:23
If we beat Tims, Well beat Tims and Hearts draw with Tims.??

04 May 2026 21:05:23
There is no quick fix answer, never has been, and we have tried enough in recent times.

We need to improve in a number of areas, particularly in full back and wide areas for me. Need to find a better balance in the middle.

Defense is going to be low on numbers as well.

Lot of work to do.

You can want to change the manager, but it does not change the work that needs to be done. Doing that well will be much more important than who the manager is imo.

Things are still very raw for me just now. We blew yet another chance, but it's not just been tonight. Losing against Motherwell and dropping points against them, 10-man Well and 10-man Livi is where league titles are won and lost. We have capitulated under Rohl a few times due to players who have no heart and desire, and tactical naivety from our head coach. Tonight was another one of those nights where our players can't play for 90 minutes.
I don't know if I want Rohl out or not, because I like the guy and he has put us in a position where, 8 games into the season, we thought we would never be.

Rohl is still a rookie coach, and he has shown that lately. Is that what we really need as a club? Us fans are desperate for success, the club is desperate for success, he has shown in the games that matter that he can't handle that. Him or the players.
I don't know, but if he is still here, I will back him, but if it was push come to shove Muscat or Gerrard for me, both them would have the players playing for the badge with heart and desire, and that's what I want to see.

04 May 2026 21:07:08
Muscat or Gerrard or anyone who has actually won something.

04 May 2026 21:07:30
Jens Berthal Askou.

04 May 2026 21:16:41
No, he should not. I'd pack his bags tonight given the chance.

The comments after losing another game... a 2nd loss in a row of the five cup finals. Another 45 minute performance, and effectively out of the league and with no silverware this season. "that's just football" is simply unacceptable to a club of Rangers stature. The fans deserve more.

Imagine Walter coming out with this comment.

Every game that counts. He's lost. Every time we could go top. He's lost. Every time the chips are down. He's lost.

Outmanouvered again, outfought again, strange subs, no style of play, no consistency and no plan.

Awe well. "that's just football". Did he expect McInnes just to trot out the 2nd half and play the same? Then why didn't he change it? Because he is out of his depth.

Never once has he acknowledged the fans. Never has he accepted responsibility.

Conversely, I would love to hear from who would have him continue as manager. What has he achieved exactly? Try posting a reasonable argument without mentioning Russell Martin. Out of the two cups to the most bang average Celtic team in years. Out of the league when it could have been over a month ago. 2nd best squad in the league and sitting 3rd. Would love to hear it.

04 May 2026 21:19:32
I have no suggestions. All I do know is Danny Rohl is not good enough in my humble opinion Ot.

04 May 2026 21:26:56
John, I normally would agree, but if the man in charge isn't up to the job then surely he needs to go no matter the facts around it.

04 May 2026 21:29:06
Gerrard's win percentage is worse than Beales and Clements.

04 May 2026 21:31:49
John2575

Rohl isn't working.

The American will have to go if he keeps making mistakes. He got Rohl wrong, too inexperienced.

You must be happy we are heading for 3rd place.

Rohl won't improve on that, and the only reason we won't slip to fourth next season is that Motherwell will sell players.

04 May 2026 21:52:23
Has anyone thought maybe Danny wants a move himself?

04 May 2026 21:55:35
Desperation subs in the second half, 3 strikers on the pitch, zero attempts, playing the ball backwards and sideways when needing a goal.

04 May 2026 21:55:51
Orange, if it needs to be a British manager who is a winner, then I think we should sign Callum Davidson.

More successful than our last 2 British managers.

04 May 2026 22:42:40
Honestly, sick of hearing Gerrard's name to come back. He only won 55 because Celtic failed to back and strengthen their team. He has failed at the last two clubs he has been at, and at present is unemployed. Take off the blue tinted glasses. He is not good enough.

04 May 2026 22:46:18
Not about Gerrard fork, it's about Rohl.

His win percentage is pathetic.

05 May 2026 05:56:29
Same 3 names being spouted for the last three years is all anyone has written. Muscat. Gerrard. McInnes. Which says to me that no one actually has a clue who they want. How can you not see it's the recruitment that has let us down, time and time again? These constant knee-jerk reactions and "I knew he wasn't the right man from the start" garbage posts are tedious, but also unsurprising.

Oh, and Stevie, Muscat is Australian.

05 May 2026 07:36:22
Yes, it's poor, but go ahead and rehire the 3rd best manager based on win percentage of the last few managers we've hired, 1 trophy, he got 3 years for that, how many windows and preseasons did he get? Rohl, one window n no preseason, and u want him gone, so straight back to all the uncertainty of the past few seasons, just rinse n repeat for a guy who knocked us back twice, not for me in anyway.

Agreed, OT. ?
