Seen all this chatter since that horrendous result about Rohl's position so I just want to give my take on a few things I've been thinking about.

I see people say that yes he has made mistakes but he is young and will learn from this BUT I have to say when will he learn? As he has repeated the same mistakes a fair few times already and hasn't learned from it. Anyone watching the other day could see after 15-20 mins how wrong he got it BUT he waits till HT to change it (down 0-2 by this stage) I think it was storm who said it and correct me if I'm wrong storm, I am seeing similarities between him and the end of PCs reign. He seems to have his favourites and plays them no matter what or leaves them on for too long (or the full game) when they have been awful. The amount of tinkering he is doing IMO is what is costing us as we have no settled style of play, no cohesion as he keeps changing how he is asking players to play like Raskin, as I'm sure we can all agree that we need the Raskin from the 2nd half of the Falkirk game and not the Raskin who drops into CH to pick up the ball.

Now I don't want him sacking (not the point of my post) he deserves time and windows to build his squad BUT with such a big summer I am actually worried as our squad will be decimated with loans returning and OOC players away and rumoured interest in players.

With such a summer upcoming, how long do we wait to see if he has learned his lessons? As next season people can't use the "look where he took us from" excuse to dismiss peoples worries and concerns.

Interested to see how others feel.

Good post, Jim. Nothing to add, pretty much hit the nail on the head.

Good post BbJ
Agree. Need some common sense around this. Rohl has done well, but, yes, makes mistakes, unfortunately there wasn't much room for error with what he took over. The old saying until
We see his team out there, it's difficult to judge him.

True Jim, we learn nothing. Rohl knows Gassama can't play on right, for example, but guess what, keeps playing him < not learnt < players know. Butland brutal at kick outs, guess what, keep passing it back to him because they're cowards again < learning nothing and Tavs been saying for years we will learn from this, guess what < total bull. ?

I think it's the fact he turns games around for me. I think he waits for half time to make the subs so he can get his instructions over, and a lot of the time it works. But for me he should have a plan b in place and c, the players know as soon as he calls it or makes subs.

Plan A his normal, plan b more attacking and plan c rubbish up shop till half time till he can make the changes and we would get on better.

Good post
My concern is will he learn.
We got away with it at Falkirk. I keep hearing mentality, Rangers should be going in to every game with the desire to win, and at times it's not been the case.

Yeah Broste, I don't want to judge him till he has his own team etc, and I get every manager will make mistakes, it's just that we keep seeing the same mistakes at the minute.

Laudrup, I for one am glad we won't be hearing Tav say this any more!

Rfc, you are right that will be the reason, but we play these teams a minimum of 3-4 times a year and we all know how M'well set up, so I don't get why he didn't make tweaks to shape etc to get us to HT, so I agree he should 100% have a plan B which isn't just do plan A better.

Just not sure about Rohl. Hope he makes me eat my words and delivers the title, but I just can't see it. As I've said before, Stevie G skates the league this season with the backing Martin and Rohl had. imo, which I am entitled to before everybody piles in.

Can you tell me what his plan A is? This worries me the most, as I cannot see it.

At the end of the day he still only had the players he had to work with. I agree with some concerns about not learning, eg, every game against Motherwell has been the same, but next season will be far better to judge if he gets his own type of players.
