Well folks, I don't post much but I've seen enough now that I'm compelled to give an opinion.
I don't think the project of Röhl is what we were sold.
Too many slow starts, bad selections, lack of intensity, no patterns of play or obvious style have seen us fall away after a purple patch.
I simply don't believe in this guy, I wish I did but it's becoming clear in real time.
He's not the standard we need and neither are most of the players but that's for another day.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but we can't see some blatantly obvious issues that he can't.
The time to shake hands might be closer than some think.

We can't keep blaming the manager.
The guy is obviously very smart and very capable.
He's not the problem imo.

Sorry mate, typical, predictable post. If we had started the league with Rohl instead of Martin, then we'd be in a better place. If we had started the league with Clement, then the league would probably be won by now.
We need to recognise when we are on to a good thing.
Is he perfect? No! Is Guardiola wanting to move to Govan in the summer? No! Get behind the team and the man. ?

I'm not saying we should get rid of Dr, and I still haven't given up on the title, but I don't get this Dr has done brilliantly argument.
He did nothing in Europe. Knocked out of the cup at Ibrox. Currently third in the league behind the worst Celtic team in decades, and a Hearts side that couldn't make the top six last season.
Plus a win rate well below Michael Beale in his time in charge.
I would say he's done reasonably well, no better.

Sorry, but no, it was always going to take a while to turn this squad around, at least two windows. He's done well enough with what he has, could have been better, yes, but not done a bad job. Jan window looks bad now. Rommens good signing, but they knew he had injury issues. Naderi overpaid, and, again, a longer list of previous injuries, and Skov, oooft, really surprised me how bad he's been, hought he would be a stand out, shocked is an understatement.
One thing I'd say against Rohl is he can't seem to fire his team up for the start of a game. That's way back now we've been shocking in first half of games and good in second halves, that for me is motivation, too many times we come out thinking we can stroll to victory instead of earning it.
Players have to burst a gut from first min, if it means odd guy needs subbed earlier so be it as long as you put in that shift.

5 subs these days, no excuses why you can put everything into it early on.

He's had a January window, for God's sake, give the guy time.
26 Apr 2026 22:18:11
Of course he deserves more time, but let's not kid ourselves on by saying if he'd been here pre Martin the league would be in the bag. If Celtic hadn't done project Nancy, they would argue the same. They lost 12 points during WN tenure. We lost 13 points during RM tenure. BTW DR does need to ask why his team starts games so passively.

Keep making excuses, keep winning nothing. In my job, don't deliver, you get sacked.

I think Rohl is a decent manager - however I think there are 2 or 3 better than him in this league alone, which is a worry. For me we have the best squad in the league but still struggle to dominate matches.
I think he definitely gets the best out of individuals, but collectively, I agree there is no definitive patterns of play. It's like we're making it up as we go, whereas Motherwell, you can see, are well drilled, playing specific combinations and setting traps all over the pitch.
Another criticism is he's not learning quickly enough.
We all saw McInnes work out Motherwell within 10mins. We don't learn the entire match and only got back in the game because we had better players.
You can see they want the opposition to press them so they can spring a counter, and we fell into the trap time and time again.
I said it months ago but if I was Cavanagh I would pay Rohl the compensation and bring in Askou. I know it seems crazy but just think this guy wins the league very comfortably with a better squad and better backing.

Askou is likely going to be the new Celtic manager, zikos. ?
