I have never hidden my lack of knowledge of British football.
Can anyone tell me which players in the SPFL and lower English leagues that are within an achievable range to find the next quality signing.

Aphe, that is a very hard question. Depends on OOC, length left on contract, what we value player at, what his club value him at, what salary he wants, the list is very long.
Rangers have a ceiling in Scotland, as they don't wish to overly strengthen, say, Hearts, re Braga.
If we wanted we could pay 4 million for a player. Will we? Depends on many factors.

Personally, I have been very shocked at Braga this season.
From his time in Norway he did not show the capabilities he has now.
I like Jack Milne and Kristian Keresztez.

Aph, in my opinion I'd possibly say 3, but that's going on 1 good season. Braga at Hearts, Mashawarie at Motherwell and Stewart at Falkirk, but really hard to judge as it's not consistent over a few seasons. We also play against normally a low block, so can put their offensive skills useless, seen it with so many descent players over the years.
Out of the 3 mentioned, I do think Braga would fit in. Possibly Stewart as 4th choice. 1 thing we're missing is that creative mid who can create that chance. We don't currently have that, I don't see anyone in Scotland providing that.

Aphelion, in my opinion, this is the worst season in Scottish football. I don't think we could make a good team out of the league to play, say, Coventry, imho all top 3 teams in Scotland would be totally embarrassing in the Premier League over the season. Okay, people will say that we would have the money, but.

But we would have the money scrambled. If in Premiership, I don't believe we would have any of the players we have. It's not as straightforward as that, mate. Many factors to add in. We could definitely attract excellent talent if in Premiership.

Personally I wouldn't sign Braga and I believe there are lots like him. He has had a great season but was not a standout in the 2nd tier of Norwegian football.
Maswanhise, I would sign but I believe that Motherwell would command a fee I would be unwilling to pay to strengthen a domestic rival.

Filip Lissah from Falkirk (currently on loan). Good on the ball, decent defender, and looks comfortable at RB. Would improve playing alongside better players.
