Just wanted to float a perception I made during the match today. I think it was shortly after the second goal Falkirk had an attack and I don't know who it was but Fernandez was losing his mind at someone. I was thinking when I saw it that's what I want to see.
Reason I bring this up is I've seen folk say Rommens for captain but I think Fernandez could be a captain no bother. Speaks exceptionally well anytime he speaks, cool and calm operator who clearly has high standards and expectations. Would be that type of captain who leads by example. Might just persuade him to stay another season as well.
Completely left field suggestion but thought I'd gauge opinion on it lol

A very interesting thought, Ayrshire. It's refreshing to see a young man with the confidence to impose his will on the game and inspire others. Dr mentioned the volume levels in the dressing room had changed, and I suspect Manny is contributing.
With Rommens on board, it's good to see we have more leaders on the field. I'm wondering if our new captain will arrive in the Summer intake though.

I also saw this mentioned in the press about Manny.
Brilliant to see.
International footie is really helping him.

Would rather he concentrated on continuing to develop his game. Maybe one for the future, but can still be too complacent at times. New player to be new captain.

This weekend, 2 seasons ago, Manny Fernandez was a 22-year-old playing for Barnet against Maidenhead in the National League. In 2 seasons' time he could be in any top league. Amazing progress from him.

He shouldn't be captain, too much pressure on him imo.

*3 years ago, but still some going.

He could maybe thrive in that pressure, a very level headed young man.

Every player should be angry with those around them if they are not doing their job. No harm in it, but complacency and slow play across the back four just invites pressure, imho. We must move the ball faster, and at times nothing wrong with playing long balls to relieve pressure and allow our forwards to get in behind.
That's what opponents do to us regularly, and we see the chaos it can cause. Shipping early goals will kill us eventually, as we will not always come back like Sunday. The emotional Gers rollercoaster moves on and ticks another game off. ? ?
