In all fairness to the first half showing it was pretty obvious quite a few were not comfortable playing on that awful surface. Its almost a goal of a start to the home team who are used to the surface.
anyone know the deadline to get rid of those plastic pitches as they are not a good look for our game. DR changed things around player and tactics wise to accommodate the surface and boy did it work a treat.

Though I've just read that Falkirk have an extension taking them to summer 2027 to get rid of it.

One down with Livi at least. I think Killie will replace theirs in summer if they stay up.

Thanks, Goram. Had not seen that on the extension. These pitches have no role in top level football.

The pitch wasn't an issue today. We scored 6 on that pitch. Falkirk's Astro is one of the best going and I do want rid of them all, but stop blaming the pitch.

Storm, the issue with the surface was that it impacted our team selection, and I'm sure that Sterling isn't the only player to be affected by this. Otherwise, no arguments with what you say.

We did misjudge ball pace on the surface a few times, early doors, and passes were coming up short often when in key areas. I would say it definitely had a bearing on the way the first half went, as well as maybe's locally. The manager got it wrong, fixed it though, second half was strong.

Plastic pitches are not ideal, but it's our play on this type of pitch which annoys - it's the same for both teams, so it's in our remit to adjust game/players/style to suit. Slow, cumbersome play gets punished as the park has an obvious zip to it - we need to realise this and understand this, as for final game it could be a league decider, so forward planning is key, imho.
