I always thought the clubs got 25 medals from the SPL and could buy more to distribute amongst players and staff they thought merited one.

I took it as gospel, as he's a pro player, but I'm not clued up, mate.

I'm sure he only managed 7 or 8 games in the league, Stevie, with 1 win and the rest were draws. Unbeaten in the league and nearly had us bottom of the table.

The league provides 25 medals, primarily they go to players who have been involved in ten games.
However the club can purchase further medals for whoever they wish.
