Strøm i have noticed you comment a few times about what i have said regarding future fee for Skov Olsen.
You are correct i did say a fee.
What I have said is the fee often spoke about on this forum is wildly inflated and in the wrong currency to begin with.
The deal as far as my knowledge extends to is as follows.
Initial loan fee of 1.2 million Euros.
Future fee in the general region of 7 million Euros.

1.2 million euros plus wages is a lot to have paid from what we've seen so far, imo.
7 games left to justify 7 million euros fee in the summer. I don't believe he will look like good value for money by the end of the season in my opinion.

Aph, Thanks for the info - still too expensive for what he's offering.
I'm not sure if another loan would be possible? But we would be acting irresponsibly if we considered making this deal permanent atm.
Same for Cornelius, who has offered more and is a versatile defender, however, I think his age goes against him. If he was 5yrs younger I think it would be a no brainer.

It will be the coaches and executive group that decide if he is good value for money.

I am still hopeful that he comes good this season, Aph. You can see a player in there with moments for us already. We know he has done it before, and he is at an age where he could kick on for a number of seasons.
I agree with your sentiment on him.
If he is showing the right mentality behind the scenes, which I don't really know anything about as a bog standard fan, then I am still signing him 100%.
Yes, I hoped for a bigger impact immediately, but he could be an excellent player for us over the next 3 or 4 years, imo.
With RW being such a horrible position latterly, we'd be wrong to write him off on recent form.
22 Mar 2026 20:07:05
That's correct, Aphelion - and I'll still have my opinion. ??
22 Mar 2026 20:28:14
Of course you will, Marco, as will everyone. I would ask for nothing else.
My reply was not intended to be dismissive of your opinion.

Aph, what do you think the transfer budget will be this summer?
22 Mar 2026 21:01:57
Zikos, that question cannot be answered.
There are so many variables. It is not a computer game; there is no real set monetary measure for each window.
The club will continue to be proactive in getting players in, but will also react to opportunities presenting themselves throughout the window.
22 Mar 2026 21:09:44
I know he's got the talent, there's no question about that, whatever.
I'm not writing him off yet either, btw.
He could turn it in after the split and win us the league.
But, as it stands, I don't want him back, not even on loan.
22 Mar 2026 21:53:10
Regardless of how ASO does at Rangers, I do think the ownership deserves great credit for aiming to get players in with that kind of profile. I'm looking forward to the summer window to see who arrives.

What's frustrating about Olson is he'll probably get a move to another club, fresh start and play well, perhaps even be a superstar. He's not shown it enough to justify the outlay. He absolutely needs a good preseason, but just as important is finding the right club for him so he can get back to enjoying the game again.
22 Mar 2026 22:25:06
Is he not on 50k a week.
22 Mar 2026 22:51:44
Olsen will probably end up back in Denmark for the rest of his career. A good player, and it's unfortunate that it's not going to work out at Rangers. ✌️??
22 Mar 2026 23:12:59
How many wrote of Djiga also, give the boy a chance.
22 Mar 2026 23:45:42
Ground hog day with Olson. Tommy what do you mean right wing is a horrible position. sorry a don't get what u meant not a dig
22 Mar 2026 23:52:35
Yeah, I think, similar to Fabio Silva and Amad Diallo, it's just not going to be a successful spell in Scotland.
Boy has bags of ability and we've seen it in flashes, but for me it's just not going to work out.
Great point above from someone aboit well donw for Ainu g so high in out search for players.
Absolutely nobody can be spoken of negatively for this laim move.

It's been a trouble position for us for a good number of years. Outside the Cerny loan, we have had no player make that position their own. This season we have played about 7 players in that position alone.
If we can get Aso settled and confident, he could be the main man there for 3 or 4 years, imo.
