Gotta be statement from club before weekend game presser surely, this silence is doing my nut in! ??

Why do you need a statement from the club? It just keeps opening the wounds further! Regardless of what is said by Rangers regarding this, we will not come out of it well. The only acknowledgement I would be looking for is notice that the wee neds, who bring shame to our club, are handed lifetime bans.

DTB, there should be an announcement that the UB have been banned.

The Club should be making a statement about the disgusting, vile graffiti about 66 souls who went to a football match and never returned. We must not let that be swept under the carpet. The Club should not miss the police either, after the turnstiles were broken through, meaning that stand was dangerously overcrowded, but plod did nothing.
Of course, any idiots from our end should be identified and banned for good.

Any statement should include pictures of the vandalism and damage done to the stadium and of the overcrowding due to the gates being kicked in. Yes, the UB should not have been on the pitch either and should be punished, but we should not let the other stuff, which was organised in advance, be brushed under the carpet.
The SFA were responsible for the size of the away support, Celtic sold these people the tickets, and the police did nothing until the pitch invasion and, even then, did not prevent it. There will be an effort to blame Rangers for everything, but we should not allow that to happen.

The club has to make a statement ASAP. Now, Dr will have to answer all the moronic questions and bear the brunt of it on his shoulders. That's not fair imo.

A statement is required or our manager is going to be getting peppered with questions he shouldn't be.

Just posted a leaflet on another thread on what Police Scotland do at football matches.
The club are responsible for gates and safety control at the match unless certain circumstances happen. So everything that is mentioned, re graffiti, gates, etc., is down to the club safety officer and the club, with support from Police if requested, it seems.
Only when Rangers fans invaded the pitch and it became public disorder would Police be required to take action. It was news to me, but that is the arrangement for safety control at any match, it seems.
I would expect a statement, perhaps jointly would be good, to roundly condemn the behaviours of both clubs' fans. But I also think I will wait forever for that.

If Dr is asked stupid questions about what happened after the game, he should be instructed to say that club executives are dealing with the matter - and say exactly the same every time some hostile journo touches on it. Give them nothing at all.
