Fernandez seems to escape any criticism he's slow on the ball passes back the way constantly and defensively is weak at times he seems to lack confidence always has to be 3 or 4 touches on the ball am a fan of Tav but lately he's looked injured or done missing that yard of pace our away form just hasn't been good enough lately

I concur.

This is a bit pointless, really. The guy isn't perfect, but he doesn't only pass the ball back; he scores goals, which Chermiti and Miovski don't really. He also has pace. To blame him when Raskin, Gassama, Chermiti, and Skov Olsen get absolved is a shambles.

That's fair, Sm. I said in an earlier post that Fernandez does not fill me with confidence defensively. Added to that, Souttar gives his all but makes mistakes on a regular basis that cost us.
We don't have the ability that they mainly have, and Hearts have, and that is being able to win games when we are not at our best, which shows a lack of character and experience.

I was going nuts; with two minutes left in injury time, Aasgaard tried a shot from way too far out instead of retaining it and getting it wide for a cross into the box, where we had plenty of bodies in.

Yes, notice slows the game down, and 1st thought is to pass backwards.

I agree re Fernandez, in a way. He's so laid back at times, it makes my nerves go crazy. He's a player, don't get me wrong, but I do feel, at times, he takes a couple of seconds longer on the ball than he needs to.
That being said, he displayed some quality today after being patient with a few good forward passes, the one for the red card being the notable pass.

I did feel, though, when he was shooting from 25 yards, that he thought he was better than he is at times.

Said on live chat that Fernandez & Souttar slow the game down all the time.
Watch most other teams move the ball out from the back quickly.
Between both of them, it is usually a square pass.

He made the sending off with a defence-cutting pass, and he also tried 11 long passes, 9 of which were completed, not to mention he also scored. imo he's a very good footballer.

Danny has explained this. I also got frustrated when they don't move the ball quickly enough at the right times, but at other times, the idea is to draw players out to create space.

Baz, teams like Livi don't come out tho.

Why is it sometimes repeated, Baz? We did get Livingston out regularly; 21 shots from inside the box tell us that.
