I think what a lot of people forget is Chermiti's age.
At the same age the fabled Shankland couldn't buy a goal in the Scottish Championship and look where he ended up.
His strength and ability to hold up play and his athleticism are all showing up really well. Goals may well come and I hope for one he keeps developing with us as time moves on

Goram, too many positives in his game for not seeing it. Maybe those that see nothing will at least trust the man that got us in this position. A couple said 'he starts, we take nothing' yesterday; tells me more about them.

And his wages and transfer fees reflected where he was at that stage. I am not sure of your comparison. Let's just see if we get some consistency now.

I'm full of praise for what Chermiti did yesterday, but let's be honest, it came right out of the blue. He has done nothing since the Celtic game, which also came right out of the blue. He's had two magnificent games since he joined us, and a couple of decent ones where his overall play was good.
I have criticised him because he has deserved it, but if he keeps yesterday's form up until the end of the season, I'll be more than happy to be proved wrong.

To be fair to yourself, My star, you've always rated Chermiti and stated it many times on here, mate. ? I've always said he's talented but just needs to up his goals tally/ratio, and if he starts to do that regularly, we'll have a very talented, all round striker on our hands, who we'll eventually sell for big dough. ? ??

Shankland posted up 60-odd goals in 2 seasons at Ayr. He was an absolute phenomenon in that league at the time. It's a wonder Ayr never actually went up either of those seasons.
I don't think the comparison is fair.

You are correct, the comparison isn't fair. Shankland did score lots for Ayr, but by that time he was 22/23, and in one of those years he was in League 1. When he was 21 (the same age as Chermiti when he joined us), he scored 4 in the Championship in 32 games for Morton and St Mirren.
He had to drop down to League 1 with Ayr to start scoring regularly. Would Chermiti score goals at League 1 level? We will never know, as he would not do that; there are enough teams looking at him to prevent the need.

Two good games all season, and people think they have been proved right. ? Jesus wept. He needs to do it every game, or most games, not two games out of loads.

Anyone that thinks Chermiti has only done it in a couple of games just don't even have any clue what they're even talking about. We missed his presence up top a few games ago. Some must only want goals and never see the work he puts in for the team. It happens very regularly with fans. It actually gets draining.

My point being is that he's very far from the finished article, and has the potential to go very far indeed.
Chermiti didn't decide on any of the transfer fees; all he can do is continue to improve.
