Is the formation that Danny has used so well to get us into the race now hampering the more offensive players who were perhaps more safety first but now have lost some confidence?
I don't know but we have players who should be able to play more offensive or is Sunday just a bad day at the office?

OWS, I think we'll see Rohl start to move towards his favoured, and confusing, system.
Using 4 'edge' players who can change the shape between 3-4-3, 4-3-3, and 3-5-2.
To start, it will look like a 3-4-3.
The LCB, also being comfortable at LB (Cornelius/Rommens).
LM, naturally being a winger (Gassama).
RM, naturally being a RB (Sterling/Tav).
LF, naturally being a second striker (Chermiti/Antman).
We could also flip this so it's the RCB who can play RB, etc, etc.

It is obvious from what he says that the way we play isn't how he wants to. He is doing what has been the aim of the club for ages, i.e. for the coach to play a winning game with the players they have.
This window, we are buying to fit in with how he wants to play, and in summer, I guess that will continue. Until then, we will need to scrape by with 2 and 3 goals being scored.

We were shipping ridiculous goals until he arrived and not creating. He said himself he had to sort the defence out first. Stop conceding gives you a chance to win games! He's done a phenomenal job on that front imo! He's now working on the brand of football he wants to play while trying to win the league with players most had written off.
The job he's done is remarkable imo. Now give him a few windows to get his squad together, and the free flowing football we all crave will come. For now, we grind our way to 56. ?

Why should any of them lose their confidence? They should be buzzing. Chermiti gets two goals against Celtic, Aasgaard scores 4 goals in 5 games, Gassama 2 goals in 2 games, and Miovski scored a hat trick.
They should be buzzing, and if they are not, its their problem, not the manager or his system. Maybe they don't have the mentality to play for Rangers. After all, they were doing nothing for the club before Rohl came.

The asymmetric system briefly outlined by EHL is exactly what Rohl is trying to achieve. I think it's not so much confusing as complex, but getting it right offers great flexibility, swift to alter the play and the lines of play, switching more seamlessly from attack to defence. It would also mean more options to consider when preparing for games against different opposition.
I first saw this type of system in a coaching manual from the USA in the early 90s, more than 30 years ago. The coaches I was with at a tournament in England at the time laughed when I suggested we should introduce parts of it into our coaching, implying that our 15-16 year olds were too thick to pick it up, but that was sadly the prevailing attitude at the time.
