Why on earth are we not after the top scorer In the league?
Player of the African cup of nations. Are we honestly overlooking a player because he's playing here in Scotland.
Why are we looking at 2/3 under calibre strikers when the answers clearly at Motherwell. Not a loan for an overpriced, Over hyped Cameron who has his own issues finding the net. ?
Cmon Rangers before he ends up at that mob.

Simple answer. Our recruitment team and manager believe we can and will get better.
Player is doing amazing under the zero pressure at Motherwell not to mention the huge amount of space and time he has on the ball.
All of which would be missing at Rangers.

If Celtic wish to pay €8-10 million for a player at Motherwell they will pay it.
Hibernian have shown the way for the Scottish clubs and Motherwell will want more than Hibernian received.

Aphelion…are we bringing in another forward that's not a striker…that scores and creates because for me another striker doesn't change a whole lot but having more prolific finishers either side of a 9 who can also create is the more important thing.

Also Bowie is a target man, with ability to hold up play…you can see with the Chermiti fee and prices other clubs are willing to pay for him even with his goal return that profile you need to pay a premium.
Maswanhise is predominantly a winger…ten a penny really but he's a proven scorer in this league. He will be expensive but shouldn't be compared to Bowie fee wise.

Player of the AFCON, he played one game haha
Or are you meaning he played there haha
I'd take him in a heartbeat.

Why lie? Mane was voted player of the tournament. People just say random things to reinforce their opinion.
31 Jan 2026 11:13:26
He has been profiled and does not fit. It would be another Rothwell signing which was done against the profiling of the club. Rothwell was signed against the profiling, solely by Russell Martin pushing for it. After this, RM did not have as big a say in the transfers.

Thats a good point Aph, no pressure, no demands and plenty of space in most games. Look at Miovski, good example on how not to compare oranges with apples.

Coully i have to be honest and say I don't know.
The only winger I knew about was Skov Olsen.
I have not heard anything regarding forwards.
I have only heard the rumour from Germany from friends.

Trying to sign silas andersen Coully ?.

Manager has said he wants a player who can play across the front 3 yet we haven't bid for the Motherwell player yet. so that tells me the club aren't interested in this window at least. fans just see goals and don't look at any other thing.
nothing about snobbery just that I don't think they fit what the club are looking for; and basing that assumption on the fact that if we were we would have bid by now.

A success at international football. Wasn't player of the tournament but was named most promising player. Has also shown he can adapt to Scottish football. And can play anywhere across the front line scoring and assisting. Part of the reason Motherwell have been described as the most attractive team to watch and has fans filling the stadium.
What's not to like. Yes maybe playing under less pressure but that's the same with anyone, what's the young German players experience of expectation and low block Aphelion?
31 Jan 2026 13:38:27
Two completely different positions Kaiser.
As for expectations you would be surprised to find out that the expectations at both dynamo Dresden and Hansa Rostock are one of the most pressurised in Germany.
2 east German giants fallen on hard times after the reunification.
The fans are still as passionate and volatile as they were in the 1980s
31 Jan 2026 13:56:27
Kaiser all you say is true but yet we are bidding reportedly for the Naderi but not for Maswanhise. whatever fans think about it being sensible that just doesn't make sense if we are interested.
Rohl has said we want that front 3 player but again we don't seem to be interested; well this window anyway. is it we have profiled, we are not sure and we are waiting to see if he can continue this form.
31 Jan 2026 14:04:02
He was voted most promising player. Not player of the tournament.
31 Jan 2026 14:50:44
I most certainly bow to your undoubted knowledge of scandanavian and german football Aphelion and i know myself that both those old east german clubs you mention are big clubs with big fan bases who have pressureised expectations my friend ? Good info as always Aphelion ?
31 Jan 2026 15:26:14
Yet another goal for Maswanhise again today. He plays anywhere across the front so can play his position too Aphelion. Not doubting fans passion at any club but different type of pressure compared to Ibrox. In a different thread u also said young players like him get more of a chance at that level because less demands.
But one of main points u highlighted was space and time on the ball. Is that something Rostock have to overcome like Rangers do?
31 Jan 2026 19:11:16
Kaiser that is my worry with Maswanhise. can he beat a low block as he has never come across it. same could be said of Naderi but role would be different as he seems to be like for like for Chermiti.
My main worry since we have built Maswanhise up to be a league winner for us and if he doesn't start well can he handle that. only one way to tell granted and buy him.
