First and foremost, I have to say that Chermiti's pre match comments were bloody brilliant and for those that never seen it I'll quickly brief you. "Todays game isn't about quality, it's all about spirit" this to me shows he gets it so absolutely delighted for the boy.
That was the worst Ranger performance that I have seen in some time, in that first half. Regardless of how the manager set us up, the players still have to do the basics right but they were just outfought for the entire 45 mins and should be thanking Butland for keeping them in it.
Aasgaard should never wear our jersey ever again, this lad is a literal temu Thor and has the heart and desire of a mouse. He was a joke from start to finish while on that pitch, not one thing he did well. Yes his last 2 games where he has somehow scored some tap ins have fooled some people into thinking he will be great but he just isn't cut out for our club so please Rangers, if we get any bid of any amount just get rid ASAP.
I was in and out of live chat yesterday and seen a lot of differing views on our team yesterday (from that first half) I'm of the view that Rohl 100% had us set up wrong and was surprised that he waited till HT to make changes.
BUT, we have to praise this man as even though it was risky waiting, the tweaks he made were absolutely class! something I hope he realised yesterday, is that he needs to stop asking Raskin to sit as deep and try play the 6 role. Raskin was so much improved when he was allowed to go press and get forward more.
Will finish with and EHL I know you've already signed me up to his fan club, but what a difference in Gassama that second half. So just want to say well done to the lad and just keep up that kind of performance.
WATP great new year present.

Good post, agree re Aasgaard, someone else posted earlier saying he is a dad player at best and maybe that is the situ.
The lad just doesn't seem to know what to do or where to be when we don't have the ball, and even when we do his runs and positioning is questionable. Maybe he'll come good with some coaching but certainly not a starter for me.
Although Dio has his deficiencies as well, we get a bit more out of him.
I still think we need to sign a creative midfielder, someone with a bit of guile to try and unlock defences.
Gassama is a young lad who'll only get better. Sometimes I think he can be a bit lazy and doesn't support the midfield or defence enough but if he's doing it at the other end then he'll get away with that.
Looking forward to seeing who we'll try and recruit this month because we've still got everything to play for.

Rohl knowing and rectifying his mistakes at HT was the most important thing for me. Early days for Rohl as well but I'm more encouraged by him as the weeks pass. A very calm head in what is at times a chaotic club is what we needed.

Delighted with 2nd half bbj, but still very very cautious of Celtic with or without nancy. My reasons for this is lbh Celtic were really good that first half and gives you a little glimpse of what Nancy's trying to do, if he can somehow manage to get them playing like that for 90 mins they'll be a force, if mon comes back in it'll give them a huge lift. They still have ccv jota and Johnston to come back from injury, I think it'd be silly to write them off atm.
So refreshing to have a manager that knows exactly what he's doing. The thing we have in our favour is we are the form team atm, beleif must be building in our squad. Already gave huge praise to big Chermiti but I'm giving him more been superb last 2 games. Also special praise for big jack, they could have been 3/4 up in first half he was brilliant ?.
04 Jan 2026 14:37:49
Don't buy the 3 or 4 we've been hearing.
04 Jan 2026 15:03:52
Zikos I don't see a player in himat all, I thought with him being in the Norway team he must have something about him and maybe he does but he just never shows it and watching him try and flight a ball across our 18 yard box which was intercepted, he just shook his head and jogged. Just a massive no for me.
BB4 I'm far from thinking that them lot are done with or without Nancy as if they back him and get him a striker in plus all those to come back like you mention, then they showed that IF he get's it to click over 90 mins then they will start battering everyone.
Lmac I agree and would also like to shoutout Rohl for getting not just the players but all staff, at the end of the game to go and celebrate with the supporters. Really trying to build a cohesive unit and he fair looked like he was enjoying the fans reaction towards him and well desereved as he has saved our season.

I agree that Aasgaard was rotten yesterday and seemed to struggle with the pace of the game but we shouldn't disregard what he has done for us over the last two games. They were tough games against in form opponents and tap in or not he was there to score the winner against Motherwell and scored a good header to break the dead lock v St Mirren.
that's 6 points we might not have had without him.
I'm not saying he's suddenly a great player or that we should keep him and play him but he did have an impact on they two games that was important.
04 Jan 2026 15:29:31
agree wsl and the goal he scored earlier in season shows he has much more ability than just tap in. he was rubbish yesterday but won't be first or last to struggle in an OF. he also wasn't the only poor player.
I know I struggle between Norway and Denmark recently ? but surely the Norway manager would be a good enough judge of a player if he is picking him regularly in his squad; and that is a squad who were unbeaten in WC qualification.
he only played 118 minutes in 4 matches but his pass success was 90%, scored 5 with an assist. re laziness he covered 13Km during those games so he does work but we perhaps just aren't playing him right. top speed of 30km/h also shows he isn't slow either.
04 Jan 2026 15:32:40
BBJ I normally agree with you on many things and I was not going to comment on this but surely there is a better way of describing Thelo as "Temu Thor".
I may be wrong but I believe the boy is an English born Christian.
I just do not see the correlation between a player playing badly and a connection with faith?
But as some including myself wrote of Chermiti to then come out with statements like he should never wear a Rangers jersey again is frankly ridiculous.
As WSL pointed out he has been instrumental in 2 of our last 3 wins.
His goals have been necessary for us to win.
He has contributed to more points gained than some who people want starting every week.
04 Jan 2026 15:39:13
WSL if Aasgaard wasn't playing in those games we might have dropped points but who knows as it's not what happened. I put the point about Chermiti at the top of my post to show that yesterday isn't always about superior quality but spirit as the big man stated.
Aasgaard in almost any game I have seen him in (yes scoring ones included) just never shows that desire, attitued and will to give everything. He looks so lost on the pitch and to be honest he jsut seems to laid back and very unaware of what's going on around him.
I would much rather see him leave either on loan or for good and allow Cameron the chance to impress instead or Bajrami when he is back fit. Just my 2 cents on the matter.
04 Jan 2026 16:26:50
BBJ call him what you want.
04 Jan 2026 16:33:12
Aasgaard had very good workrate against St Mirren.
04 Jan 2026 16:34:34
LMAC I get on well with BBJ, I am sure he does not need your support. He can answer for himself.
I have every right to ask him a question. If you believe that religion should be invoked in football then that is up to you.
04 Jan 2026 16:48:25
ASA and on a public forum I have every right to reply to any post on here. That's how it works! If you remember you decided to get offended last week for Fork and dragged him into a debate so it's ok for you? But not for me to comment. Seriously… behave.
04 Jan 2026 16:51:02
My apologies Strom not Fork, he can stick up for himself but you just had to? So what's good for you is good for me.
04 Jan 2026 16:57:35
I used Strøm as an example of differences of opinion turning to infighting.
I asked a question.
Where was a defence needed?
04 Jan 2026 17:11:59
No you stuck up for him and Strom told you that he didn't need you to. I just said call him what you want. I am allowed to do that, am I not? I'm just using my right to freedom of expression or speech within the constraints of common law. What's your problem.
04 Jan 2026 17:18:59
I have not said a word or accusation of any illegality.
I merely questioned BBJ in a way that I would expect to be questioned if I were to label our leader Tavernier as a Temu Jesus or one of our islamic players as a Temu Allah.
I personally don't believe religion should be a part of football.
04 Jan 2026 17:28:45
In my opinion if Aasgaard didn't get booked early on yesterday the manager doesn't take him off, I'm sure it was a case of don't let the referee determine our game again against that mob.
It turns out it was a great decision so not coming on trying to be different but anyone of the team could have been taken off at HT really they were poor.
04 Jan 2026 17:29:13
Aph I meant no offence whatsoever and me referring to him as that is nothing to do with religion. It was solely based of his haircut and representing Norway and how he reminded me of Thor from the marvel movies that's all. I'm well aware that he is English by birth but know nothing of his religion as it's never something I pay any attention to at all.
Star I agree he did and that's what irritates me even more as it's clear he has it in him but only when he can be bothered showing it but if you can put that kind of shift in against them then why not against our biggest rivals.
I certainly need no encouragement or discouragement from anyone on here and post whatever I please and I get sometimes it may come across in the wrong manner but it's never personal against anyone. If I cross a line and there has been certain things I've posted in the heat of the moment, then the Ed's have stepped in and not posted it and rightfully so.
Aph the not wear the jersey again was just a dig at our club mainly as we are hearing that Cameron is being told to go out on loan and I feel he should be given a chance instead of Thelo.
04 Jan 2026 17:40:10
Who accused you of illegality? No one. You're getting yourself in an awful pickle …
I couldn't care if you called them that. Call them what you want!
People will use whatever language they see fit. If it's unacceptable the Ed's won't allow it.
I just stated as I'm allowed to, he can call him what he wants.
In regards to religion in football again you're perfectly entitled to your opinion I don't necessarily disagree. It's a throw away comment … have you actually sat with working class people or men from Glasgow or Scotland and listened to a conversation. You'd die off if that's annoying you!
But you're 100% absolutely allowed to call it out. And I will comment as a see fit on any post in regards to pulling up people for their use of language. I hope that clears it up.
Have a good night ….
04 Jan 2026 17:43:31
BBJ thank you for your response and I appreciate you meant no offence as you have always been very kid and thoughtful in the past.
I only asked the question of you because it appeared at first to invoke my own religion based on his representation.
I believe Thelo is English in every sense of the word other than his eligibility for Norway.
Maybe akin to the Englishmen that will be representing Scotland at the world cup.
I certainly meant no Ill will with my question to you my friend.
04 Jan 2026 18:24:02
The issues surrounding Cameron will come out in the wash.
04 Jan 2026 18:27:24
Aph no ill felt from me and if you felt I was draggin religion into it then you have every right to question me. I know this is the internet and people can claim all sorts of crazy stuff but if anyone who knew me in the real world, would tell that I couldn't care less about religion. Each to their own as far as I'm concerned in that regard.
All I want from players representing my great club is commitment and desire to win all the rest I don't care for at all.
I mean I can't say anything Aph as I'm a right mixture of heritage just Scottish born.
04 Jan 2026 18:36:33
Aphelion I very much doubt there was any religious aspect meant. It's very much comic book hero stuff which is pretty huge over here. Probably about all most of us know about Norse mythology or religion. The jokes have been on Antman as well.
04 Jan 2026 18:56:42
I can't say anything either BBJ I am a mix of Norwegian and German my friend and I imagine there will be many of us who are mixed heritage.
Kaiser I accepted that explanation my friend, unfortunately I am not a fan of superhero movies so I did not contemplate that prior.
As I said I seen it at first as invoking my own faith and questioned its use, I have been corrected and I understand I was mistaken.
04 Jan 2026 19:23:17
Here we go again.
04 Jan 2026 20:32:22
John sorry I missed your comment in all the sauce, interesting to hear there is more going on with Cameron than meets the eye.
