Just seen dessers saying he has two years left on his deal, I thought he had one and this was the reason why many were saying he needs sold, apart from other attributes or in some opinions lack of them, also bit concerned with no further news on raskin and Souttar contract situations. What's the thoughts.

I would keep Dessers if he's willing to stay. Made my mind up on Danilo at du Dee away when he missed easy 10 sitters. Dessers makes the runs that Danilo doesn't. He works hard and never injured and as I've read many times, if the guy was to score every chance he gets he wouldn't be at us.
Raskin I expect wil sign a new deal

fine it would new cb and Djiga starting g. If souttar stayed he would be rotational.

If any player does not sign a new contract, and they're in the last 2 years of said contract, then we must sell them. We must never find ourselves in a position where our most sellable assets allow their contract to run down, and move on for free. I don't see this happening anymore.
From what I have heard, Raskin will be allowed to leave once our CL outcome has been decided. If we fail to reach it, he gets sold, but If we do reach it, he has a choice to sign an extension and play in CL with us. It's a wait and see policy, but if we do reach the CL, it's sounds like he will sign on for an additional year.
This scenario works out for both parties whatever the outcome.
Just for clarity, this rumour is from a friend who works at an football management company who deal with us. I don't class myself as ITK, and I am only passing on what I was told.

Was it not Dessers who had 12 shots on target at Dundee 12th man, I expect Dessers to start today and most would agree Dessers over Danilo at moment.

Don't know about last two years as a lot of players only sign three year deals but one year yes, can see what your saying about raskin mabye being true but can also see the benefit of him just signing a one year deal with some sort of agreement about a sale next summer, a move away now will undoubtedly get a him a pay rise but no guarantee of getting the number of games he will get with us, and with his international ambitions this may not be the cleverest move with the World Cup, a bigger move could entail with a good tournament. Also not heard of much interest in him from specific teams which would be pretty unique in today's world of transfers.

Depends on the player mate if we are only going to get 3/ 4 million and they are a decent player then no issue running contract down to the last year still get 1.5/ 2 million for them it's players like Raskin that you will lose 10 million when they enter there last year that need to be sold if they don't sign a new deal.

I honestly thought we were going with dani because dessers was leaving, not so sure he's leaving now went very quiet. I really don't mind keeping him, just thought it made sense to sell with age contract etc. Anyone any news on dessers transfer? Have the Greek team that were in for him bought a striker?

Yeah, that's a sensible post Biscuity. Players are seriously devalued when they only have 12 months left on their contracts, so extend or sell when players get to 24 months remaining is the approach we should take for all players of value.
