{Ed001's Note - Nike, but other than that it depends on the shoe itself. I like some Air Max but not others. I like some Jordans but not others and quite a lot of Kobes are good shoes. A lot is about fit as well, I have fat feet, as well as fingers, so they have to have a wide fit, so I don't go near Air Max 90s, despite loving them.}

Not so much a collector Ed, but absolutely love my sneakers mate, very different to you though. I love all the retro addias, also love adidas yeezy and another trainer I've just got back into is new balance, not the ones you can get in any jds the ones from sites like stock x and goat have you ever used those sites? They have pretty much everything on there, especially Jordans, very pricey right enough.
{Ed001's Note - I can't stand Yeezys, whether Nike or Adidas ones, I find them grotesque. I remember my gf at the time being given a pair of Adidas ones before they were released as a gift from a client. I wouldn't let her wear them round me as they were so ugly!
Stock X is a UK app mate, no use to me and I would avoid it as their checking is very poor, lots of fakes get passed as proper. They even passed a pair of Jordan 4 Manilas (that were costing something like 30k) as genuine, despite them being very bad fakes. I mean they were an extremely limited edition (and my grail) with each pair numbered, the 2 shoes they passed had different numbers and they hadn't even noticed that! They looked like a pair I could have bought off any market in Manila for 150pesos (about £2), absolute junk they were.
I have not used Goat, though I have not heard anything too bad about it.
I have friends in the local Nike and Jordan stores here that put me aside any shoes I am interested in to pick. I don't tend to buy anything at over retail price, though I only buy limited edition stuff myself in the main. Only one pair I ever paid over retail for, and it was still less than they would have cost in the UK anyway, was two pairs of the Liverpool x LeBron XXs. The red ones. I absolutely love them and they are my favourite shoes ever. Trainers in the Philippines, and footie kits too, are about half the price they are in the UK at retail price.
I have nothing against New Balance or Adidas etc, it is just that I grew up drooling over Nike and Jordans. When I first started working I ended up buying things like Fila and the red suede Ewings as they were just cheaper and I could afford them, but Air Max and Jordans were too much. So now I go for what I love only, so I don't buy much now. Last thing I bought were a pair of the SB Jordan 4s. Oh wait no I got a pair of Air Max 180s on sale as I had a massive discount voucher. It is my bday this month so I will head to the Nike outlet store to see what they have I think!}

Interesting re stock x Ed, i honestly didn't know that. Funny you should say that, last Christmas I bought my partner a pair of dior sun glasses because I had sat on hers in ibiza on holiday, when they arrived from a well known high fashion company they were absolutely fake, they weighed about a quarter of the weight of the originals. When we sent them back they were trying to say that wasn't the ones they sent, what a joke it was. It turned out that someone had sent them back and they didn't check them just sent them right to us, so yeah it can be dodgy. My son is air max 95 daft Ed think he has about 20 pairs, won't really wear much else. Do you not 95s are getting really pricey?
Yeah mate know loads of people that hate yeezy, I was one at first till the missus got me a pair and I was hooked, absolutely love them, but hate the price tbh.
{Ed001's Note - you can tell you are not a Scouser, those are the 110s to us and they are about as Scouse as you can get. I love them. The good thing here is there are lots of outlet stores and a lot of the shoes, even limited editions, just don't sell out here and you can pick them up on the cheap. Last time I was at the one local to me everything was 60% off basic price + an extra 10% off per pair up to 3 off the discounted price. Clothes were similar 60% off but every third item was free.
Yeah you have to be very careful with those apps. A lot of people use Ebay now.}

Ed001, your passion for trainers is really coming over in your posts. £30k for a pair. That's insane! What makes them so expensive?
{Ed001's Note - they are one of the rarest pairs in the world. They were only released for sale in Jordan Manila and in a very small run. I would love a pair but the only ones I have seen were in Manila resale stores and I am not convinced they are genuine as every store happens to have a pair. There just isn't that many in the world for them to all have a pair.}
