Wes with another outstanding save to keep us in the game yesterday really don't understand why people don't rate him.

One very astute post. I do think O'Halloran has the intelligence aspect though but agree confidence may play a part. Same with McKay and I see Tavernier standing down for free kicks and wonder if there's a bit of feeling intimidated by Barton's presence at play.
Wilson had a very good game and a couple of outstanding cross field passes and I think he covers a lot for Wallace who's forward far too much and not the most convincing tackler. I hope Windass recovers sooner rather than later because I'm not sure what Halliday's role in the team is supposed to be. Seems ineffective in it.

wes is a descent goalie but needs to keep his cool more.

Sorry guys but he's not commanding or vocal enough for me. I think that's why Wilson and Kiernan struggle so much at corners and free kicks. All the best keepers make high demands of thier two CDS and give them hell when they r not delivering I just don't see Fod doing this. I would give Gilks a few games and see if it makes a difference to Wilson and RK.

Yeah I agree. I counted 3 outstanding saves to keep us in contention. However, he needs to be commanding in the box at set pieces. This defensive attributes we are looking for could be nullified if Wes comes and takes the ball at set pieces. Still seems like a rabbit in the headlights at set pieces.

Good performance tonight, kept the ball well and lots of good movement. Think Harry Forrester needs a goal to get his confidence back looked a class act before his injury last season. Can't understand why we bring on Kenny Miller before MOH we all know what Miller brings to the team and MOH has so much pace to burn and against a Stranraer team that's been chasing shadows for 60 minutes it would have been an ideal substitution.

Always been a harsh critic of Haliday and feel he hasn't started preseason well enough if you think about how tallented our midfield is can't see him getting anywhere near the big games with the likes of barton and rossiter to come.

He looked a lot more confident in the more attacking role! I've also been a critic of him but In his defence he's never claimed to be a dm! He must be doing something right in training because I can't see MW letting him near the team just because he's a fan favourite.

I think he is responding positively to competition for a place in the side. There will be no natural choices this season.

I hope he responds to the competition cause if he puts in performances like last year in a lower league he's going to spend a lot of time on the bench, never been to keen on him but will give him a chance!
