Joe Worrall being linked on the Record Online tonight, initial loan with an option to buy, England U21 international, worth a punt IMO if the price is right!

wee_bear

1.) 22 Aug 2018 23:33:54
He’d be a good catch if true.

2.) 23 Aug 2018 02:56:52
He's certainly the right type, young, capable, energetic, tall and tough. I'd have him all the time before the likes of McAuley, Richards and other has-beens punted on here. This lad would only enhance the squad.

3.) 23 Aug 2018 04:28:38
Agreed dutycalls, he fits the profile that we should be looking at, especially if we can agree a fee before the loan then it’s a no brainer. I would add that I’d like him (or someone like him) as well as a McAuley giving us 4 centre backs for the season ahead. Surely McAuley can’t be looking for much wages if hearts and Aberdeen are interested? 1 year deal!

4.) 23 Aug 2018 08:46:02
I'd be absolutely delighted if he signed on loan with the option to buy.

5.) 23 Aug 2018 09:02:24
Wow just Wow lad actually captained England U 21's recently. If we have the option to buy perfect but he won't be cheap.

6.) 23 Aug 2018 09:07:09
Forest rejected an £11.5m bid for him from Burnley in January so he must no be too bad.

7.) 23 Aug 2018 09:12:00
5th choice forest centre half doesn’t float my boat I’m affraid.

8.) 23 Aug 2018 11:25:27
Rossiter was also England under 21 captain was he not? And that worked well.

9.) 23 Aug 2018 14:22:22
To be fair Rossiter is class and would be a starter imo if it wasn’t for the bad luck with injuries.

10.) 23 Aug 2018 15:11:36
I think if JR wasn’t injury prone it would have worked out very well.

11.) 23 Aug 2018 15:38:10
Rossiter has NEVER played for the England Under 21's he was capped and captained the Under 19's.

12.) 23 Aug 2018 16:47:00
My bad. Thought he had.

13.) 23 Aug 2018 19:20:06
Fifth choice doesn't necessarily make him bad The manager obviously prefers others to him and he is still quite young

He is a good wee player and with games he will grow confident and improve his play!

14.) 24 Aug 2018 15:49:47
What’s happening with the strips? Anyone actually know anything?

15.) 25 Aug 2018 14:18:40
What I have heard is strips will be available to buy in around 3 weeks.

16.) 25 Aug 2018 20:30:30
WHAT? WHAT three weeks . let’s sack the board 🤪.

05 Aug 2018 10:35:12
Just seen the express reporting that we are eyeing up Barasic, this would be a terrific acquisition! IMO even though we have players in this area already, he is better than all of them and would be a definite starter with sell on value, get it done if it’s true!

wee_bear

1.) 05 Aug 2018 11:13:24
Totally with you here wee_bear. Barisic was absolutely superb over the 2 legs against us! He most definitely looks a quality left back. Tav couldn't do his usual marauding, up and down the right flank, because of how good barisic was! Really hope stevie G signs him!

2.) 05 Aug 2018 11:51:10
£2 would be money well spent imo. Here’s hoping we can do business here. To me this looks like a market Rangers should be scouting regularly.

3.) 05 Aug 2018 12:49:44
He was in the preliminary squad for Croatia at the World Cup. 2m would be a steal.

4.) 05 Aug 2018 15:03:14
We need a f@#king Striker before any more left backs!

5.) 05 Aug 2018 15:29:39
It’s a pity about Morelos today because I’m sure he would’ve scored. Next time Buffalo.

6.) 05 Aug 2018 15:49:53
He's an person and needs to grow up.

7.) 05 Aug 2018 16:33:58
He cost us 3 points today🇬🇧😭.

8.) 05 Aug 2018 16:39:43
Bear necessities I'd be stunned if we get him for two pounds.

9.) 05 Aug 2018 16:48:20
Coldo - agree 100.

10.) 05 Aug 2018 16:50:11
I agree shauney boy I think we would have scored and I agree he should have went down with the shuv and stayed down but his instinctive reaction was to lash out. Stevie had got to coach him so his instinctive reaction is to go down. but the boy likes to stand up fir himself and not be bullied. it was just a flick out to a premeditated barge. Hopefully we will appeal and it gets cut to yellow. Ryan Jack I pray he is ok . was immense today again definitely captain material. if he’s ok against the smellies Stevie should get him on broom. He’s marked him out the game before . Well done though guys.

11.) 05 Aug 2018 17:42:15
If barisic signs we could put Flanagan back to right back and that would give us a very solid back 4.

12.) 05 Aug 2018 18:19:42
🙈jboy obv typo. Meant 2,000,000,00 pence.

13.) 05 Aug 2018 18:28:57
Where does Tav go right wing? He had the best delivery.

14.) 05 Aug 2018 18:48:12
Maybe g dog wing or bench I guess.

15.) 05 Aug 2018 19:00:29
Down south, he keeps costing us goals.

16.) 05 Aug 2018 19:10:25
Haha, belter JBoy! The thing is we need options and a player like him could give us that, I expect us to bring in a striker and a Centre half over and above any other signings but imagine going to a back 3 in some games with no wingers but barasic and Tav in the wing back roles, this would give us an opportunity to pack the midfield and play 2 up top with little defensive responsibility on the wing backs!

17.) 05 Aug 2018 20:57:54
Could be useful.

15 Dec 2017 21:58:32
Let’s give it laldy tomorrow bears even if we go behind! We've come from behind last 2 games so no need to panic, let’s take the roof off the place as the boys deserve it! I have a felling with Jack back and Miller out we could get a resounding victory but we must be at it from minute 1 including fans!

Mon the Gers!

Wee_Bear

1.) 15 Dec 2017 22:33:40
Has jack not still got another game of his ban left?

2.) 15 Dec 2017 23:01:13
So miller out is a good thing? Never played football is my guess.

3.) 16 Dec 2017 07:04:38
Ryan jacks eligible to play today hami!

Saw a few interesting stats there - every game mccrorie has started in midfield we’ve won (5) 😁😁boy does look a prospect and in the league we’ve won the most games from going behind a goal first (interesting stat for all the negative posters on here saying we’ve no fight! 😁😁

Good luck today bears!

4.) 16 Dec 2017 09:16:53
Miller has been off the boil lately Rick Witter. You don’t need to have played football to see that! Spare me the patronising tone, I’m sure you are right about everything in your own wee world but I’m sure plenty will agree with me. I was merely stating my hope that with Miller out Mr. Murty will be forced to change it and we might benefit from a resounding victory rather than the squeaky wins that we had of late. Remember young McCrorie only got his chance due to injuries and look at him now.

Moan the Gers!

5.) 16 Dec 2017 10:04:05
DONT you know wee bear you have to have played football before your entitled to an opinion? 😂😂

Agreed mate miller has been off boil everyone’s career has to dip some point and for me millers time should be limited now to impact sub .

What do I know but I only played 3 years and captained the primary school team to glory all those years ago 😂😂😂😂

6.) 16 Dec 2017 10:27:16
think if rick thinks millers form has been decent the closest he has got to playing football is subbuteo. personally i think windass and morelos could be a great partnership. i have been vocal about windass more than once on here, but in the middle he is putting in a shift, has some great touches and has taken some of his goals really well. morelos is better with a partner, those two together won't give defenderd a moments peace! really hoping we don't revert back to one up top and stick windass back out on the left

7.) 16 Dec 2017 10:49:45
Couldn’t agree more. Miller hasn’t shown up since hearts, his injury could be a blessing in disguise like McCrorie. Also think windass and Morelos can be a decent fresh pairing up top. Morelos is better in a two

8.) 16 Dec 2017 11:53:18
Well said guys. It seems if you have a difference of opinion to some posters on here you are either a half wit, moron, tube or you have never played football. Maybe we are not the half wits, morons etc

9.) 16 Dec 2017 13:06:16
Hasn't Jack only served 2 games of a 3 game suspension?

10.) 16 Dec 2017 20:23:47
Jacks bn cap all season he's bn sent off more than he's had good games

11.) 17 Dec 2017 14:01:09
That's what I thought sent off in the game at Porto drive since then we've only played hibs and county

12.) 17 Dec 2017 14:02:12
I also agree with going with windass and morelos together! Windass is wasted out wide in my opinion and has shown he has an eye for goal of late

13.) 17 Dec 2017 16:40:13
id suspend him for another 3. Aberdeen player wearing a gers top

14.) 17 Dec 2017 16:43:01
agree mate
Aberdeen his level

Glad to be back to domestic matches this weekend and a massive week for our season, 3 wins will be tough but hopefully we can start the ball rolling on Sunday. If I’m honest I think we really need 12 points from the 4 league games we have before the next international break, that would set us up nicely in the league although everyone will need to up their game, even hearts were afforded too many chances at our goal. The Aberdeen game will be tough as I think it’s their cup final really and Europe I’d take 3 points from the 2 Moscow games although to remain undefeated through these 2 would be sensational!

wee_bear

1.) 20 Oct 2018 10:54:03
Really hate the international breaks. It's all about The Rangers for me (and Bhampot) lol.

17 Oct 2018 17:24:44
Shambles from Aberdeen however I do hope they don’t sell out their allocation now so that they can be seen for exactly what they are which is a small time childish no mark of club who are due about 15,000 for any semi if they are lucky, which I believe is what they took to the Motherwell semi last season.

wee_bear

1.) 17 Oct 2018 18:21:30
they are utterly blinded by their hatred for us wee bear

& have been for as long as I can remember

how tragic.

2.) 17 Oct 2018 21:15:00
Trev No 7

Couldn’t agree more and it seems to have rubbed off on their Manager. Utterly horrible club.

3.) 17 Oct 2018 22:20:19
I hope the SFA charge them for the entire allocation they asked for or even cut back their prize money to cover the balance due.

4.) 17 Oct 2018 23:10:39
I agree with you totally, wee_bear!
They jacobites from yuchter choochter country think they are a big football club, when they really are a small, run of the mill provincial club! They think there famous because of sir alex having a fruitful time, as their manager, in the 80's! The live up in the sticks and they truly think they are as big as rangers and celtic! Don't make me laugh, as just like your small minded manager, derek delboy mcinnes, you are a small club! What an embarrassment of a football club you are! You bleet for half of hampden and then only sell 10,000 tickets! Good and loyal fans, your arse! God i despise that football club and don't make any apologies for saying that! We'll pump the sheep in the semi final anyway!

5.) 17 Oct 2018 23:06:24
I said this before mate, any club should be made to guarantee any allocation that is asked for, solves the problem there and then.

6.) 18 Oct 2018 10:11:29
I'm the same, Coops. From the Durrant incident to their "song" about the 66 who lost their lives that fateful day - I despise the rancid reprobates and their no mark manager who forgets where he came from. Them, Scumdee United and that other lot from Edinburgh - my hatred for them knows no bounds.

7.) 18 Oct 2018 15:30:59
I hope we pump them in front of their half empty side of hapden.

8.) 18 Oct 2018 15:48:44
I predicted this scenario when the allocations were announced. They historically struggle to bring any more than 10-15000 for semis. The league should have taken this into consideration beforehand. All that is happening now is Teddy Bears missing out on tickets, gaps in the stands depleting the atmosphere at the match and clubs missing out on a larger pot of cash. Aberdeen fans and their club are a joke. And that includes McInnes! Come what may, let's just go out and wipe the floor with this bunch of nomarks. #let's go.

07 Oct 2018 09:15:15
Seen a few articles regarding the co-efficient. While it looks like Scotland is climbing the rankings with both clubs in the group stages it looks unlikely we will climb as high as 15th which would be required for a 2nd champions league place. Truth is, we are nowhere near a champions league side and would take some beatings if we got there however financially beneficial. Does anyone know how climbing the rankings will effect the amount of qualifiers that we may have to face? I hope that the real benefit of this unexpectedly good run in Europe is that we have less qualifiers next season and a seeding in the pots which will give us another good chance of qualification. That would provide the financial confidence to go and add 2/ 3 of real quality each summer hopefully. I’d also note that the parent clubs of all our loans (Roma apart) must be delighted with their players experiencing and contributing massively to the match on Thursday, this can only be good when we are looking for even better quality on loan next season?

wee_bear

1.) 07 Oct 2018 14:14:30
Maybe not this season, but in season's ahead? Hopefully.

03 Oct 2018 11:53:06
Quick question lads and ladies? Does anyone actually care if our semi gets moved to Murrayfield? I personally don’t and I don’t think the club do either, as long as it’s a neutral venue on the Sunday or later then what does it matter? It seems to me that this whole situation is now a case of who can moan the most, next it will be the 50/ 50 split, so in that regard I hope it is Murrayfield!

wee_bear

1.) 03 Oct 2018 12:56:00
If prefer Murrayfield. 10 times better stadium.

2.) 03 Oct 2018 13:22:07
We would get more supporters in as well. We'd far outnumber their supporters as well.

3.) 03 Oct 2018 13:59:10
See liewell already starting to moan .

4.) 03 Oct 2018 14:11:01
I care, flights and hotel booked for Glasgow. Also another example that lawwell dictates to SPFL.

5.) 03 Oct 2018 14:12:56
We’ll beat the Sheep anywhere👍.

6.) 03 Oct 2018 16:56:13
its getting worse than brexit, might as well hold a referendum on it, commons saying the tims should get hampden as they are the holders, what a plonker.

7.) 03 Oct 2018 17:24:40
Would prefer Murrayfield better stadium and more Rangers fans would be able to attend.

8.) 03 Oct 2018 22:32:58
Fair play Jboy, poor show all round, they should really have delayed any announcement until all parties agreed. I selfishly feel that I’d have more chance of a ticket at Murrayfield, also why couldn’t they just move the following midweek games and play Tuesday/ Wednesday and carry on with the Sunday league fixtures?

9.) 03 Oct 2018 23:16:14
A win on a muddy field would do me.

10.) 04 Oct 2018 16:24:46
Celtic are still moaning and groaning about not getting to play at Hampden. They think because they were champions "LAST" seasons, (they are not this seasons champions yet) that they can dictate what they want shall be done. How long were they in the champs league this season? .

02 Oct 2018 07:54:12
I see aberdeen are looking for a 50/ 50 split for the semi-final, I’m not being unreasonable to ask that they should guarantee the sale of all 25,000 at say £25 a pop. Same goes for Hearts if they are looking for 50/ 50. I’m not being arrogant but Rangers and Celtic supporters turn up in vast numbers week in week out and if some fans have to miss out then these seats should not be left unsold.

wee_bear

1.) 02 Oct 2018 08:21:34
They shouldn’t get a 50/ 50 split as they can’t sell out their rabbit hutch of a ground. It should be at least 60/ 40 split in Rangers favour as we have 40,000 fans who regularly contribute to the game. So why should some miss out so fans who hardly put a penny into the game can attend.

2.) 02 Oct 2018 09:37:09
You're spot on Arthur D! Where are their supporters, at most other games, within the season? I'll tell you where, sitting in the house because they can't be bothered to go out and support their teams! Absolute glory hunters and make NO apologies for saying it!

3.) 02 Oct 2018 12:07:32
It was last season that hit it home for me, up at Pittodrie, big game fighting us for second and the tramps couldn't even sell out. Shameful.

4.) 02 Oct 2018 13:29:57
I'd refer to them in another way, coops but I doubt my post would appear on here! Absolute rancid pack of animals they are. Hopefully that makes it!

5.) 02 Oct 2018 17:21:26
The farce continues. Book flights hotel for Hampden game. Now may be murrayfield. Or at best 1400 kick off.
Doncaster needs to go.
And god knows what the police get paid for. Can’t make a decision.

6.) 02 Oct 2018 18:45:49
50/ 50 split? go for it. embarrass the lot of them, show them up. where are these guys every week?

7.) 02 Oct 2018 20:29:37
I think they took about 12,000 to the semi vs Motherwell last season, they have a cheek asking for 50/ 50.

The red card helped Israel to win last night but it was backs to the wall even before then, 3 at the back doesn’t work for me with these players, I do agree that we need to find a way of getting tierney and Robertson in the team though. Naismith is a bench player for me, I’d like to see us go 4-4-2 with Robertson and Tierney on the left interchanging and finding a way to damage teams on the left if one goes up on the overlap the other falls back to defence. I’d also go McBurnie and Griffiths upfront and see how that went. Obviously if we were playing a top team like we will on Sunday then we could drop a striker and go with 5 in midfield. Tough job for McLiesh as we don’t have an outstanding group group just now but we have enough decent players who play at a decent level to make a better job than last night! Roll on next Sunday for Accies away!

Livvy are no mugs and the pitch is leveller for them, I just think that our players haven’t yet found a consistency that will be required to go on and win the league, but we are hopefully building towards that and Sunday was a timely reminder that we need to be at our best no matter who is in front of us on match day. We were superb last night and can be better, I think Ryan Jack and Jordan Rossiter can improve the midfield and Grezda will hopefully turn out to be one our best players. Flanagan again was an unsung hero, can’t believe we knicked him for nothing. Massive game Sunday, we need the same tempo, I’d bring Katic back to deal with their big lump up front. Hopefully lay a marker down!

Morelos only cost us £1M! He has been superb value for money and if a decent offer comes in for him and it’s a step up for him then I’m sure Stevie G will let him go. Hopefully we have targets in mind for when that day comes but until then he should be looking to improve on his shortcomings which I’m sure he will, he’s only 22 remember!

Big decisions for Lafferty now. His gaffer is obviously miffed but that decision is not going to heal the situation in my opinion. I’d expect some form of statement from Lafferty soon. The big man has been through a lot this year and I think that the fact he has just had a child with his missus means he’s pretty content right now and will look forward to having international breaks with his family. It’s becoming more and more common with older players from these shores there’s just not as much patriotism as on the continent.

With a group like ours, Scotland just need a man to galvanise them, make them hard to beat and get everyone playing above their normal level and pulling in the one direction. It would have to be Steve Clarke from all the options at the moment. McLeish simply hasn’t done all of this and his player selection is poor, Shinnie?
