Yet again I’ve been told about Shinnie coming to Rangers, the chap who I was talking to has connections within Ibrox and I was told SG told Shinnie he wanted to sign him as a left wing back as Davis won’t be kept on and Halliday moving back in to CM.

The more I think of it the more sense it makes.

1.) 03 Mar 2019 12:24:34
I think there may be something in this as well shinnie is keeping where he is going very quiet I think he would be a good squad player to have on board but those eyes give me the heebeegeebies 👀.

2.) 03 Mar 2019 15:38:55
Be better go in for wats his name goscrove.

3.) 03 Mar 2019 19:22:10
Halliday isn’t good enough to play in midfield.

4.) 03 Mar 2019 19:24:16
Been told off 2 different people in the know he’s coming to Rangers on a Bosman. He was best CM on the park today and will be a good acquisition. I’m hearing he’s being signed as a CM though although Gerrard likes his flexibility and ability to play LB as back up.
Think he’s better in CM and Halliday is better as a LB.
Waldo cert to leave when contract expires at end of season and I think Halliday is better LB than Barisic if I’m honest,

5.) 04 Mar 2019 02:10:43
He might sign but if he does it'll be for center mid and as cover at left back.

Halliday simply isn't good enough for center mid, and is probably a better left back than Shinnie and based on recent performances, probably more reliable than Barasic too.

Personally hope Barasic comes good but as of right now I'd say Halliday a bit ahead - surprising as it is.

6.) 05 Mar 2019 22:57:02
To be fair this discussion about Barisic coming good at LB and Shinnie being able to cover LB, is nobody actually happy that Halliday has been very steady there when he has played? Right now HE is our LB, we should start giving this guy some credit where it's due. Even when he was sent away on loan, slated by everyone, he has kept his head down worked hard and reaped the rewards. What a great attitude to have which is probably a big part of why SG has laid trust in him and I can't remember him playing badly this season to be fair.

09 Jan 2019 19:27:00
Guys. I’ve just been told Graeme Shinmie is all but a done deal on a pre contract!
Comes from a credible source and he’s no reason to be telling porkies.

1.) 09 Jan 2019 20:48:30
Shinnie is a good player, and says before i would like us to sign him. But we have a lot centre midfielders at the club so i doubt it.

2.) 09 Jan 2019 21:01:11
Shinnies original position is left back.

3.) 09 Jan 2019 21:17:14
Shinnie, Powell, McDonald, Bryson, surely we don't need anymore midfielders.

4.) 09 Jan 2019 21:25:18
Shinnie can also play LB and DM.

5.) 09 Jan 2019 21:42:42
I heard this ages ago. Surely we have enough midfielders?

6.) 09 Jan 2019 21:57:03
That’ll improve our disciplinary record!

7.) 09 Jan 2019 22:34:22
I read some of these comments and I despair. We DON'T NEED backup players, we need players who are better than, or have the potential to be better than, those we already have, who would then become the backup! That's the only way forward, so that's Bryson ruled out, makes Shinnie a 95% No, leaves Shankland where he is, makes Moult a no-no, and ensures that all the while our manager can concentrate in signing the Defoes and Davises of this world - real quality to enhance the first team along with a couple of others who have genuine potential to enhance our team.

8.) 10 Jan 2019 09:58:20
Shinnie told Tommy Doc ( sheep assistant manager ) a few weeks back that the deal was all but signed

although Shinnie wouldn't be a 1st pick in any position i would take him. every club needs utility players.

9.) 10 Jan 2019 13:44:23
Surely mccrorie is a better option in midfield, I would be gutted if he left and was replaced by any of the names above. Totally agree with asayouth👍.

10.) 10 Jan 2019 13:47:03
He's not good enough. Never make the grade at Ibrox. Just my opinion but we can do better.

05 Jan 2019 17:24:22
Kamara and Jones confirmed on 4 year deals!
Pleased with these 2, up there with the best performers across the league this year.

Hopefully see them push on next season!

1.) 05 Jan 2019 18:18:44
Get the feeling this means we won’t be signing Kent or Coulibaly in the summer.

2.) 05 Jan 2019 18:22:51
Excellent signings at no transfer fee and massive potential. Cover Kent and coulibaly if they leave. Defoe would be a great signing if he's interested. Davis will slip into team like a glove.

3.) 05 Jan 2019 19:32:24
Coulibaly is mince so no great loss and bar a loan extension i think kent is way out our price range.

4.) 05 Jan 2019 20:03:47
Would love us to get Kent. Him or Jones on one side and Middleton on the other. Agreed Coulabally is mince.

5.) 05 Jan 2019 20:06:46
Coulibaly is not that bad Kent is amazing I just wish we could have got JJ. Now.

6.) 05 Jan 2019 20:26:03
Kamara could be an absolute steal. He looks very impressive and a better option than Coulibally.

7.) 05 Jan 2019 20:50:58
Kent was quoted at £2 mil last week if this is true it’s in our price range.

8.) 05 Jan 2019 21:21:37
Who quoted that, stewarty? Certainly not his parent club or Rangers. Before he came here, another club was quoted £7m and that was knocked back.

9.) 05 Jan 2019 21:27:41
Coulibaly was brilliant at the start of the season just never got over his injury, not fair to call him mince can see he's got absolutely no confidence but we know how good he can be.

10.) 05 Jan 2019 21:59:12
Coulibally is an awful player. Constantly running in circles in the midfield and always at least 10 yards off the oposition player.

11.) 05 Jan 2019 23:51:50
Didn’t make it up asayouth before he came back from injury it was quoted on various pages £2 million your saying £7million sure Gerrard wants him so we will find out this month.

12.) 06 Jan 2019 00:00:37
Kamil is nowhere near inexperienced. He has been used by Pool 1st team on numerous occasions. He has played Polish U21, U23 and full international many times. Saw him last season gainst France. Outstanding. Crosses he was very cool and shot stopping best I've seen. We know shagger getting on and great replacement. Alnwick stays no. 2.

13.) 06 Jan 2019 00:07:57
No club ever offered £7m his transfer market value is currently £1.5m according to transfermarket. com who are very accurate. He hasn’t played in BPL or left for a big few million from other club and doesn’t receive a huge wage hence his value.
He’s done well up here and is probably worth almost double the £1.5m but not £7m . yet.

14.) 06 Jan 2019 00:10:48
where will murphy play when he returns to fitness.

15.) 06 Jan 2019 00:19:02
If (and it's a huge IF) we were to secure Kent for maybe another year, it leaves us with five natural left wingers - Middleton, Murphy, Grezda, Jones and Kent - with just one right winger in Candeias. Even 4-1 is baffling.

16.) 06 Jan 2019 00:30:03
Coulabally brilliant? Haha he was decent at best. He can't control a ball and runs about like a headless chicken and that's it.

17.) 06 Jan 2019 00:47:43
Parky, your comments regarding Coulibaly are bang out of order, the boy had injuries, then his father passed away, I accept your ignorance may be a contributing factor in your statement. The guy was playing out his skin for us before injury, many on here praising the ‘destroyer’.

23 Oct 2018 21:10:10
Am I right in thinking if we avoid defeat on Thursday we’ll set a new record for a Scottish team going unbeaten in Europe?!

1.) 24 Oct 2018 06:38:11
Aw naw 🙈 🤐.

2.) 24 Oct 2018 08:06:25
we'll break our own record of 10 games.

3.) 24 Oct 2018 12:04:01
You’ve just jinxed us ya goat 😂.

4.) 24 Oct 2018 15:20:02
Saw this online. It's not quite there. 12 games is the record achieved between 1991 and 1994. But it's close.

5.) 24 Oct 2018 23:33:17
@87H - I sure we beat the current Rangers record. Not sure about the unwashed, though going by their recent humpings in European football at the piggery it can’t be many games!

29 Aug 2018 17:43:35
Was talking to a contractor in work today, he was saying his son play about of football and is pally with a few of Rangers young lads.
His boy apparently said to him that when Gerrard got he job at Rangers, SG, GMc and MB sat and watched every minute of every Rangers game from last season!
Whether or not the boys was talking mince I'll never know but his point was a good one.

Does anyone else think this could be true? If so what a fantastic way to get some information regarding the squad!

1.) 29 Aug 2018 18:22:43
87 if they did not watch, they would not be doing job.

2.) 29 Aug 2018 18:26:08
If they sat and watched all that in such a short space of time there’s a fair chance all 3 of them would have tumours the size of melons in their brain! The old firm games alone made me lose my hair and turned my pubes grey!

3.) 29 Aug 2018 18:36:15
Stuart, u r right, sure it helped the clear out, I can't think of any player who left I'd keep except Docherty.

4.) 29 Aug 2018 18:52:31
Stuarty 😂

Jboy I agree maybe only Docherty I’d have kept, still though that’s a lot of games to watch considering how up and down we we’re last year!

5.) 29 Aug 2018 19:04:22
Christ. I hope some games were x 30.

6.) 29 Aug 2018 19:57:25
You could use footage of some games from last year to break a prisoner into a confession👍. I do think that they would have watched games from last year, probably not all tho. All part of their assessment, hence why the majority were shown the door👍.

7.) 29 Aug 2018 21:10:10
Stuarty delighted to know it wasnt only my pubes that turned grey 😂.

8.) 29 Aug 2018 22:04:56
Every minute of every played last season! lol no chance. every game from initial discussion and approaches yes, with selected highlights of prior game most probably.

9.) 29 Aug 2018 23:05:19
Roughly 63 hours of football to watch. What a job just sitting watching footy all day, getting a laugh and through in a few drills in training and good verbal communication for a good few grand a week. Geez a job I can do that.

10.) 29 Aug 2018 23:46:12
I’d think they maybe watch most of the games from when Murty took over (doubt they would learn anything about the players when Pedro was in charge) might have helped with the clearout of the duds and who they can help going forward! But you have to remember at we've signed atm 12 players and are basically a brand new team- so if they did watch back it was to see what they seriously needed to change.

11.) 29 Aug 2018 23:49:22
My hair went white! 😂😂😂.

12.) 30 Aug 2018 11:10:02
Holt and Docherty for me Holt would be good cover for Ejaria Docherty good cover for Coulibaly.

13.) 30 Aug 2018 14:00:54
i agree on holt think the boy was under rated he was the only player who understood pass and move. while rest passed and stood still. docherty is ok but prob does require more game time and wouldn't progress as player at rangers.

09 Mar 2019 11:48:13
Let’s see what Aberdeen can do today before we start conceding the league. 7 points as it stands, still to play them twice.

I guess I’m clutching at straws but who knows.

1.) 09 Mar 2019 13:01:56
If you think we can still win the league then you haven’t been watching us. The players don’t have the mental strength to mount a challenge. We haven’t been able to put any sort of run together and too many performances have been lacklustre. You could see last night Hibs were going to score just like they did at Ibrox. Too many players hide when it gets tough.

2.) 09 Mar 2019 13:50:05
Arthur D, your spot on mate, we're just far too inconsistent to win the league, in what is a 38 game marathon. Hope under steven gerrard,
we can improve again next season,
kick on and become more consistent over the team having more mileage together and better players added in the summer! Its not actually losing games this season that's undone our league challenge, its the fact we've had far too many draws! Like Arthur D says, we just can't seem to go on a long run of winning games. At times when we do win 2 or 3 in a spin, we think here we go, then we self destruct and draw a couple or so, in a row. As the old saying goes, its like 2 steps forward and 3 steps back! I do however think consistency will come, under steven gerrard, as our manager! The replay against the sheep on tuesday is so important and now our season defining game! let's go and beat this mob! Onwards and upwards!

3.) 09 Mar 2019 13:55:01
We are not getting the breaks, there is no way Aberdeen should have got a penalty as Goldson had drawn his leg back to strike the ball and the Aberdeen player just put his foot in front of Goldsons who could not even see the Aberdeen player. As for last night, Hibs should have been down to 10 men early doors and had at least 1 other player sent off. Some of the crosses after good build up play was woeful and shooting practice is badly needed by most rangers players.

4.) 09 Mar 2019 17:33:11
I agree in general the only luck we seem to get is bad but SG hit the nail on the head last nigjt. We would have been streets ahead in this league if we'd converted domination into goals. Good sheep draw at their place today still leaves the door slightly ajar. You never know, a couple of rotten performances from them (and we all know they are capable of them) but with their opposition nicking it in injury time instead will make things very interesting. I'm convinced Lennon will crack under pressure and if that happens you never know. But we need to take care of business our end to have any chance at all. Cut out the sloppiness at the back and take the chances when they come.

5.) 09 Mar 2019 17:43:28
It was a stonewall pen davidsmith👍.

24 Feb 2019 14:00:15
I cannot believe we only paid £50k for Glen Kamara!

He’s the closest I’ve seen to Barry Ferguson since he retired! What a player.

1.) 24 Feb 2019 14:17:42
87 Yes the guy looks a player But to compare him to BF Are you having a Lafferty.

2.) 24 Feb 2019 15:10:30
Cunny, I’m telling you! Watch him! Watch how he moves the ball and breaks up play! The guy is a natural.

3.) 24 Feb 2019 15:54:35
Watch what your saying with your comparisons on here 87 henderson. I said the exact same as yourself regarding glen kamara a week or so ago and the usual suspects came on here and absolutely shot down the comparison. I agree with you mate.

4.) 24 Feb 2019 16:13:01
SuperCoop. I’d even go as far as to say it’s uncannot!
He’s played a handful of games now and every game he sets the tempo, breaks the lines, keeps it simple and the boy can tackle!
If he continues this trend he won’t be around for long! The boy is an absolute baller!

5.) 24 Feb 2019 16:44:35
You're correct 87henderson! But that's too complicated for some on here to understand, trust me mate!

6.) 24 Feb 2019 16:47:22
Love the enthusiasm 87henderson. Kamara has started well. Looks a player.

7.) 24 Feb 2019 17:25:26
The boy Kamara looks class, a young Patrick Viera.

8.) 24 Feb 2019 17:56:46
Totally agree that Kamara looks superb. However, Coullabaly started off strong when he joined then has tapered off, so we will see if The Finn can keep his form going. If he does then we have a super bargain!

9.) 24 Feb 2019 17:58:33
I agree guys. Doesn't panic or get flusteted. If he turns out half as good as Barry he will be some player.

10.) 24 Feb 2019 18:52:41
Aye coop but you said he was the next patrick vieira👏👏👏👍.

11.) 24 Feb 2019 18:53:07
I believe it was quite a bit more
Than 50k but it still seems like money well spent.

12.) 24 Feb 2019 22:14:37
I actually thought Kamara was a wee bit below the standard he had set in his first two games today . Having said that the standard set is very high and I agree with everyone in that he looks like a real steal. I thought as a team we were excellent today, I was starting to worry about us being a one man team so it was really good to witness such a good performance without Alfredo .

13.) 25 Feb 2019 01:28:44
87 i'm not saying that Kamara can’t play football But if he is half as good as BF as Seeker has said We will have a good player And as for you Supercoopereleven don’t try and insult people’s intelligence.

21 Feb 2019 20:02:36
VAR will eventually ruin our game and it’ll turn in to an event like NFL where everytime a player hits the deck it’ll be reviewed and contested.
Games and incident will be refereed umpteen times and who’s to say they will reach the correct verdict!
Our game is called the beautiful game as it ebbs and flows, with tackles and tactics! Goal line technology was a great introduction, immediate decision buzzed straight to the refs wrist! No ifs or buts about it!
VAR will be the beginning of a stop start game with lots of injuries ending with 8 men each!

My solution. full time referees! Ex player referees, grassroots referees. Promote refereeing as a career! Give proper training and education with employee benefits (wage, healthcare, the glamour of football etc)

1.) 21 Feb 2019 20:15:45
cant think of anyone who would be crazy enough to be a referee, certainly not a job i would want. however i do agree VAR would bring nothing but stop start to a game.

2.) 21 Feb 2019 22:26:36
It works perfectly well in rugby but they have professional referees and that's probably the difference.

3.) 21 Feb 2019 23:03:34
Not at all. Var can be reserved for goals/ off sides or red cards. It doesn’t have to be used all the time. They used it really well in the under 17s tournament you didn’t even. Price they were using it. And in the cup down in England it runs in the back ground while the game is playing and the ref is contacted if the notice something.

16 Feb 2019 17:29:54
Hate to say I told you so. but Davis?

Plenty of folk on here ranting and raving about him! The guy is showing his age!

1.) 16 Feb 2019 17:54:03
No where near the level required today. somethin I’ve noticed for a while now is that no rangers players apart from Kent, Morelos n Murphy when he was fit actually face an opponent up n take him on or even pull them to the side to create space . It’s just pass n hope all the time.

Hmmmmmm a few weeks ago I was told SG was talking to James Milner about all things Rangers. I laughed my head off at the time as anyone would hense the reason I never posted on here because I those it was utter nonsense!

Only adding to what Jim09 is saying though, probably just a coincidence.

Honestly man give your head a wobble! Clear outs? 8m - 10m for the loose cannon and liability Morelos? Worse Rangers team you can remember for a long time?

We need a couple of quality additions, we’ve got an excellent core that in the end has fallen short! The first half we dominated them and should have been 3 up. Not to mention a missed red card, a stonewall penalty and a foul on Tav for their goal!
It wasn’t Morelos greatest game I agree but that doesn’t mean ship him out. His movement for the goal was excellent and his run created space for Candeias.

You’ve obviously not been following Rangers for long because I remember going to Brechin, Elgin, Stranraer ect to watch Kevin Kyle, Fran Sandaza, Fraser Aird, Cammy Bell, Edmilson Cribari and Sebastian Faure!
Going to these place week in week out is called supporting your team, coming on here and typing rubbish isn’t quite the same!

I do get where you are coming from Coldo, of course I do! We are both die hards with the same interests at heart and I also know if my auntie had balls she’d be my uncle. If and buts don’t win leagues, but all I’m getting at is 10 minutes of football have won them the league! Over the course of the season we have been there or there abouts.
You make a good point about out doing them in the transfer window, massive for us we strengthen in let area and I think we will. SG knows where we fell short and I fully expect him to address it.

Coldo, I’ve read a few posts of yours saying they have regressed. They are still on for a treble treble. That is not a regression mate!
Granted we have been poor but they have also been decent and won games by digging in and scoring late! Take that out of the equation and it’s mighty close! Hearts, Kilmarnock, Dundee and Rangers they scored at 85 mins or later! That’s 8 points better off.
If the gap was 5 point and not 13 with still to play them are ibrox would you still be saying the same?
