I don't know how many times I can watch the same thing unfold this season. Dominate the ball, create nothing and concede from the only chances the home team creates. It's a joke that we cannot make use of our better players.

Worralls a total scare! How he gets a game before Katic is beyond me! Sick of that boy not getting a game in front a him 😡.

2.) 24 Jan 2019 17:12:19
Yeah it’s galling that he would rather play a hap hazard loan signing and leave out a good young signed player. You can see why Worrell didn’t get a game for Forrest.

I was reminded of a player earlier on and thought he'd be the exact type of player we need. Wes hoolahan. I know odds are he's one of them but his contract is up with West Brom next month and apparently Gerrard enquired about him in the summer. He's 36 but he's technically gifted and very clever as well, exactly what we're lacking. He might not be able to play every week but could be useful.

1.) 24 Dec 2018 07:44:20
you are definitely at the wind up, "technically gifted"? Not even when he was in his prime.

2.) 24 Dec 2018 15:13:08
No I'm not at the windup the guy has an ability that not one player we currently have in our squad has. I'm not saying he would be the best player ever but he definitely has it in him to make a difference. He can spot a pass, all we do at the moment is throw crosses into the box and hope. We have nobody that has the ability to split a stubborn defence with a pass.

3.) 26 Dec 2018 11:43:32
Ok Wes, you can come out from behind Boli-poly now.

23 Aug 2018 21:43:05
Im a little disappointed we couldn't really press on for a second but I'm still confident we can go through. They looked a poorer side than Osijek and Maribor, didn't offer much going forward and if they have to come out a bit then there'll be gaps to exploit. The ref was pretty poor as well, not punishing them for multiple fouls or the numerous foul throws.

100% agree. We saw more from Ejaria tonight too. Thought he was impressive.

2.) 23 Aug 2018 23:19:17
Boli I couldn't believe how many foul throws there were! I agree, they didn't offer much going forward so hopefully we can get in behind when they cone out next week.

3.) 23 Aug 2018 23:57:44
Big thing is this is a European tie and we haven’t conceded an away goal, that could turn out to be priceless!

4.) 24 Aug 2018 00:51:22
Hope we attack them a bit more than we did against Maribor away, because their defence looked poor when progres played them in Russia and were unlucky not to score more than 1.

5.) 24 Aug 2018 09:42:07
You can’t really compare the game to Maribor or Osijek mate, UFA had no intention of coming out their objective was clear, sit in and stop us. Where as Maribor and Osijek had a proper go at us. Not as talented a team but certainly organised and done their homework had an extra man on the left to stop Tav bombing down and left our left side light cause Flanagan rarely ventures forward, if Barisic had been eligible last night that would have opened the game up more for us I reckon. But the win is the most important thing and not conceding is a massive boost, score over there and they need 3. Can’t see us letting 1 in never mind 3. 3pm our team next week for kick off guys, half day at work is already sorted!

6.) 24 Aug 2018 13:09:41
Parky i couldn't believe how many penalties wernt given.

7.) 24 Aug 2018 15:06:48
Their keeper looked a bit suspect too. 4 times, including the goal, he flapped and/ or panicked. Hopefully he’s even worse in front of his own fans.

I said last season when we were going through our period of not creating anything that arfield offers very little and it's been painfully evident again recently. I like the guy but he's got no pace and doesn't have a clever touch like Stewart. He doesn't look suited to a team that dominate possession, most of our play bypasses him.

Boli-poly

1.) 27 Oct 2019 17:02:29
Arfield is inconsistent. He can take a hit and keep playing in tight. It's 50/ 50 for him getting it right but he does have a high work rate and he can see the game well, he just can't execute well. He'd be a squad player on a better team. Right now though his form is like he's exhausted. Too be fair he put in the same shift as Aribo who is almost half his age. Neither Aribo or Ojo have the patience? or Confidence? to hold a ball in traffic.

2.) 27 Oct 2019 19:30:36
Blue_north hahahahaha just how old do you think arfield is?

3.) 27 Oct 2019 20:17:55
Yep 23 is almost half of 30 right enough. I blame the schools myself.

I honestly think Gerrard needs to pull the finger out in terms of subs. He rarely makes a change when things are balanced. Only gets proactive when we're comfy or in desperate need of a change. Could have thrown barker on for ojo for fresh legs, or king or halliday for extra protection down the left. I've never known a manager who doesn't use all his subs as often as SG. In the end it's two terrible errors which he can't legislate for but there was no reason not to make a change before that.

Boli-poly

1.) 04 Oct 2019 09:15:28
Boli we needed protection on right not left. Jack provides it when on park.

03 Oct 2019 19:51:09
That is an absolute theft of a result from a rank rotten team. How did ojo complete 90 minutes, what does he have to do to get subbed off. Tavernier and goldson fill me with no confident whatsoever, can't seem to organise between them and so susceptible to a simple dropped ball. It's a shambles of a result. That mob deserved nothing from that game and I seriously hope we do them at ibrox.

Boli-poly

1.) 03 Oct 2019 19:59:41
if They are rank rotten what does that say about us. Send ojo back waste of a jersey Goldson must get dropped tav yet again showing his defensive qualities and Stewart came on and lost the ball 3 times. Jack going off didn’t help either.

03 Oct 2019 18:35:15
Probably the most bored I've ever been watching a team I support. Both teams have been absolutely awful. There's definitely something there for us if we could stop being sloppy.

Awful wtf game u watchin away from home in europe playing it perfectly.

01 Sep 2019 12:53:22
Gerrards got the tactics and team selection wrong on the evidence of the first half. We've got no threat at all. Aribo has had a wake up call, he looks lost. Their right back has had him in his back pocket so far. Kamara needs a a rocket up his *rse. He needs to learn that he can't just jog about trying flicks. Flanagan is the right choice but there's nobody in front of him so nothing coming down the left. Kamara off for jones and defoe for morelos.

Close brothers are used by many businesses. A large percentage of insurance premiums are paid through finance providers like close brothers, it is not a sign of trouble just an intermediary in the process.

Also the main reason we're unable to bring young south American talent over and that's work permits. If a young player is good enough to be granted one then chances are he'd be too good to come to us anyway.

16 goals in 51 games for a striker in a league comparable to our own isn't exactly that impressive.

Scottyger he'll take a lower wage but it'll be at West ham probably who have a habit of signing players of his type. And this lower wage will still be 5 times what we could offer.

We have 3 centre backs who are fairly young so we'd be either indering 2 of their progress if he played every week or paying a huge wage for a backup. We need a 4th centre back but don't think he's the answer.

If he would spend less time rolling his left shorts leg up every 5 minutes then he might achieve more. Not as quick or skilful as we all might have thought and he's definitely not someone to turn to when things aren't going well.

I can't agree with anyone who flags up two incidents 20 minutes apart that could have gone our way and says it could have been 3-1 to us. If the penalty had been awarded the morelos chance at the end wouldn't have happened. The game would have gone down a different path.

Sad news. I posted this a few months ago but it was never put up, his Wikipedia page is fairly damaging to his reputation. It mainly focuses on his disciplinary and personal issues with little attention paid to his good times. Hopefully someone in the know can get this changed to a more favourable outlook. It reads as though it was written by someone with a grudge. He doesn't deserve that as his legacy. RIP.

I have my doubts Ojo will work out for us. Think he'll be good when we're already coasting but can't see him dragging us into a game. He has a bit of quality but don't think he'll cope with the pressure that'll be put on him. People say it's great having 50k fans behind you at home but equally hard for players having 50k people on your back if things aren't going well and some players just don't respond. My feeling is he might be one to go into his shell.

He was good at swansea but has proved to be injury prone and lazy since then. Ibrox simply wouldn't tolerate somebody who isn't interested in putting the work in.
