Thanks for this Info EHL.
"No, Stevie, McInnes has always wanted Dio to stay. I posted in the first week or so after McInnes joined that he was keen to talk someone who was close to leaving into staying.
Also, I've been saying for the full window that there is no bidding war for Raskin and there will be no bidding war for him."
You have also said Raskin has chosen where he is going.
The Raskin one is confusing me a bit. as DM said something through the week that made my ears stand on end. He said "we always knew Raskin could be a flight risk".
I found it a very interesting choice of words to use. And I am curious if he came back as planned yesterday or has gone AWOL?
There's no bidding war, which leads me to believe that he has a set price and if it isn't matched, he won't be going anywhere. But how can he possibly know where he's going, if no bids have been made.
It's an interest and concern.

Gazza, I think he just meant he was unlikely to be still at Ibrox this season.

He'll go for around 12-15 max if he goes. Issue is, the longer it goes, the less we will get.

Gazza, when a team says there's been no bid, it just means no formal bid has been placed.

I think there's more to this than meets the eye. I always thought the way Tav left under a bit of a cloud, the total decimation of the former "Leadership group", the sudden departure of Danny Rohl, and the equally quick arrival of Derek McInnes seemed a tad off to me. I also found Jim Gillespie's comment on Rohl's departure a bit terse when he told us "It was Glasgow Rangers' decision to let DR go and bring Derek in." All of the above, imo, suggest that something was not right in that dressing room.
I can't remember the exact details, but I'm sure someone on here posted that Rohl had to step in to break up a heated exchange and was pushed by someone. Also, did someone not say the other day that Raskin will never play for Rangers again? Finally, I found the manager's "Flight risk" comment to be extraordinary given the amount of speculation on his future. I was completely blown sideways by that, to be honest. My definition of flight risk is akin to having gone AWOL.

Bidding war is the same as swap deals. They don't happen.

Lovenkrands, no offence taken. I used to work with the club back in the Clement days, but left shortly after Martin arrived.
I'm still involved in football and work directly with players from various clubs in the SPL - so I hear a good bit of gossip, but on the whole it is just that.
I did work with Raskin during his rehab at that time, and I take full credit for how awesome he was when he returned to the team under Clement, but that's another story.
I'm still pretty close to Raskin and a few of the players from my time at the club, which is why in this thread, and in many others, I can say with confidence that Raskin knows where he will be playing his football and that there will be no bidding war.
Obviously I can't expand on that though.

I'm with you. 😊

Do you think there's going to be a possibility of a swap involving Raskin and Ferguson? I personally would just sell Raskin and don't think we need Ferguson.
31 Jul 2026 12:51:21
Ferguson will not be coming.

Ehl, very honest, consistent and no bull. No silly games of I know something you don't but can't tell you either.
I believe when Raskin goes we will replace him.

What a job. Thanks for the honesty, mate @EHL. You're a good man to know! 🫱🏻🫲🏼
