I expected this. He's home-grown and trained by the club, which is a huge asset in terms of European squads.

Daily Record reporting this morning that both Liam Kelly and Kieran Wright will be leaving the club. I would guess at least 1 of these too will end up at Kilmarnock. But this would leave us short of goalkeepers, and if reports are true that Butland is leaving, it would mean we would need at least 2 goal keepers as it leaves us with only youth goalkeepers Mason Munn, Rydnn McGuire, Alfie Halliwell, Greig Thackray.

Wright has already confirmed he's away, and I see Kelly staying more than going unless he wants to go play first team football.

Told you all yesterday that Kelly was told he could go. I trust the info. I think Liam wants to stay, but the club has issues with the terms on his contract, apparently.
Probably means he's on a good wage for someone who doesn't really play.

I was aware when posting this that you "told us he's been told he can go".
But, like every single rumour on this site, I take it with a pinch of salt unless there is undeniable evidence the rumour is true, which would turn it from fact to rumour.
I respect you may trust the info or source or both. I quite like the journos for Rangers Review, so will choose for the time being to trust their info until such a time as it's clear they were wrong.

Seeker, with Butland's lack of form, at least he deserves a fair shot at first team which Rohl has not given him. Butland should have been dropped before now.
