Still need a back up to him, and ideally we'd want starting quality for every position. Penrice is also more experienced than Rommens, and offers that league knowledge, nation trained, and for those obsessed with Scots, he's Scottish.

It's not that people are obsessed with Scots, it's that we need them for squad in Europe or you lose extra spaces in squad.

The thing about getting Scottish lads in the squad isn't just about quality, it's about effort, heart & an automatic understanding of playing for a club like us & in our league. For example, I would take Barron over any of these foreign lads; he gives 100% every time he's on that pitch & that's what we need more of.
There are foreign lads in our league who produce week in & week out, who cost peanuts compared to our boys. I don't know why some think they are not good enough for us. The snobbery still exists & it's cost us 3rd, which is totally unacceptable.
