Rangers could face a battle with former boss Philippe Clement to land Ivory Coast international and former target Parfait Guiagon.
The Ibrox club remain in the hunt for new recruits for manager Danny Rohl to strengthen their title charge.
And reports in the African nation have suggested Rangers and Norwich City have both made enquiries about Charleroi midfielder Guiagon.
Guiagon was strongly linked with a move to Rangers two years ago when he was with Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv, but moved to Belgium instead.
The 24-year-old - who had once had trials at Barcelona when he was a promising youngster - is out of contract this summer and would be available for a reduced fee.
Ex-Rangers boss Clement is also on the lookout for new players in a bid to steer his Norwich City side away from the English Championship relegation zone.
Guiagon, who is capable of playing on both wings as well as in a central midfield role, has won four caps for his country and was included in Ivory Coast's preliminary squad for the African Cup of Nations, but didn't make the final cut.

I dunno how I feel about the winger linked, left sided again. I feel like the answers to our attacking problems are on our doorstep and we are going to make the same mistakes again. For me Makswanishe at Motherwell is as sure a bet as you will get for adding numbers and threat to front line.

As for Parfait, he likes a goal and assist from that left wing and has some really fast feet, if we can get for a decent fee then we should 100% be all over that.

Angus a couple of year ago, even played a game for b team, something about his agent, obviously cash, he said he was very interested, he's doing well at RBL mate, getting linked with big money moves right now.

In 2023 Yan Diomande did play a game for our B team and done very well but agent wanted too much money and club didn't pursue the deal now he's going for big money.
