Too much emphasis is put on formations.
Winning your 1-2-1 battles is just as important.
Everyone winning their individual battles overcomes a poor formation.
Everyone losing their individual battles nullifies a good formation.
Who won their individual battles the other night.
Im a big DM fan but the changes came way too late.
We can dwell on the negatives or say we played at the hardest/second hardest away ground and never lost ground on the team above us.

Performances need to improve considerably and Del needs to start finding a better balance with his formations or this season will inevitably be the same as recent years.
In my eyes Wednesday night was extremely concerning, we were fortunate to even get a draw.

I don't agree 4L, better teams than current have played worse Hearts teams at Tynecastle, a ground I think is unique and really like, and had a hard time.
We are a young and new side, there was always going to be backward steps in their development. We cannot attract the quality of player that we can expect to charge full steam with no setbacks imo.
I also think we have a good squad this year, unlike previous seasons. For me, we are actually building for the future this time around and I am hopeful the cycle of chaos and rebuilding has ended this summer.
It's not to say we win(title) but I feel we are better placed to challenge, like we should have been since 55, so am not concerned about going backwards to previous seasons although with all the scar tissue I understand where your coming from.

The balance of the team was wrong for the Hearts game, we sacrisfed the middle of the park in favour of 2 up front and lost compelte control of the game.
Anyone could see Hearts getting a foothold and goals were ineviteable. Immediate steps, Naderi off, Gassam off, Chukwuani on, Bouani on. Minsu on the left. If we had started like that we would prob not had the yellow cards which were for despearte defending. ANo is easy to look back but we've had previous warning in games.

TC - I've had to come on using an incognito search via Google.
Don't know what's happened. I've been getting a liot of random junk mails recently and I turned off some permissions.

I think they had 3 v our 2. Win the ball get it wide to mcpake done the trick. We should have matched that within 15 mins our 4321 wasn't working, they were really a 451, we needed to go 433 to match that with the subs i said. We all could see what going to happen. Pelase don't mention Barron and Cameron no where near the levels. We need influencial box to box goal scoring mids and ball winners. IMO.

TJBB, Hearts had 2 cm's 4 forwards.

Exaclty Star they won the middle of the pitch and allowed them to spring attacks, get turn overs and win second balls, our balance was all wrong from the get go, only reason we got 2 was our pure quality.

Any formation works well when players playing their position work 100% in battles vs their direct opponent and who work like hell for their team-mates- fairly simple.
If you stroll around the park like its a game that has no meaning then we will get found out. Its proved in the big games ie vs them that we can fight our corner - its when we play the so called also rans that our attitude and work rate stinks and that's where the problem initially stems from.
Along with players who's form has severely dipped and yet still get a jersey can be added to the mix🤔All these issues can be sorted by Del but need done sharpish or another see saw season will be the norm for us.
Drop the slackers and get work-rate up- its not rocket science 👍.
