Another one for @EHL.
Any youth or those on the periphery either youngsters or first team who are not playing showing up well?

27 Oct 2026 14:40:01
Not really Pieter - the step up at the moment is far to big, I don't really see anyone knocking on the door.

27 Oct 2026 15:24:12
Thanks @EHl. Between Drago and this. Tell me at least you get a free lunch at the canteen. Some good news. 😂😂.

I think Paul Nsio has a chance of making it at Ibrox.

He'll come back in the summer and try to make an impression on the first team squad.

I think a seasons loan down to league 2 in England where he plays every week will set him up to come back and joint and compete in the mf squad the following year.

Is that where we are at Stevie, good enough for League 2 so will become a regular for us? used to be Championship we measured ourselves against and now it's League 2, how badly we have regressed.

27 Oct 2026 17:45:25
Geesadodothat- where did Ndeiri play his football before playing for Rangers?

27 Oct 2026 19:29:26
Does playing a full season for St Mirren in the actual league we play in not indicate whether Nsio is ready to play for us rather than sending him down to League 2 in England .If we send him down there it tells me we have decided he's not good enough.

Sorry guys I meant to type League 1 and miss hit the button.

So League 1

Where did Calum McGregor go play before he came back to Celtic n ran amok with Rangers for 15 years?

League 1 and n England! Along with Grealish who done not too bad either.

Geesa league 1 in England is a good level for a 20 yo centre mid to learn his trade before coming back to play squad player in the spl for Rangers.

What do some people expect here? U want to loan him to West Ham for a year?

People aught to get into their head exactly where Rangers are in the football world and where we are not.

27 Oct 2026 23:00:04
Just to add onto the above post I've said League 1 because if we loan him to Championship he's not as likely to play 40 games as he is in Championship.

Competitive minutes is more important than what league it is. And League 1 teams are better than st Mirren.

27 Oct 2026 23:59:27
People's attitude towards my comment there has really annoyed me.

Where did Leicester (EPL) send Maddison on loan? Scotland.

When loaning players out u send then somewhere 1st that they'll play every week. 2 that will suit the style they either play or the weaknesses in their game. Ie toughen Maddison up in Scotland.

League 1 in England is a perfect place for a 20 year old centre mid from Rangers to go play every week.

Stevie, league one would be a good league for Nsio, mate, as you just said he'd struggle for minutes in the Championship, the majority of the clubs in our league would struggle in league one, you'd have a few in league two the following season.

27 Oct 2026 23:54:59
Beale thanks mate. I think any club in League 1 who plays with 2 cm's would be a great move for him so he can get familiar with how we play.

28 Oct 2026 01:44:03
Stevie, I get your meaning mate, McGregor came on leaps and bounds when on loan at Notts County in league one, he scored over 10 goals and his experience got him into the Celtic team the following season.

28 Oct 2026 02:28:01
Beale thanks mate apreciate it 👍🏻

to my recollection with McGregor at notts did he actually play further forward like a wide left position?
Left forward in a 3 type position?
I'm sure he wore the 10 as well.

He also played with Jack Grealish in that team so Grealish must've played central if McGregor played a wide position.

That's just my memory of it but I could be wrong or mixed up as I often get these days mate.

Also sorry. Maddison I think was at Norwich when he was loaned to Aberdeen. Then sold to Leicester from Norwich.

28 Oct 2026 08:18:32
Stevie i would agree to league 1, however my comment was more about how poor rangers are now if we were using league 2 as a training ground for our players. no offence was intended and ofcourse now you have clarified league 1 is what you intended i agree would be a good idea.
