Who was better, Gerrard or Barry Ferguson?
For me Barry was up there with Keane, Viera. Gerrard was all of them. all right he was a pure toffee man. Steven Gerrard is the 2nd best mf I've ever seen. Behind Zidane. But Barry was better than any other mf player of that time.
He was total class and I have a genuine regret he didn't go to Europe after 2001 , he was better than Durand better than Souness. Barry is the best player Scotland has produced in my life.

Barry was certainly a classy player, but in no way was he better than Mattheus to name but one. He may have been better than Durrant, my views on him are well documented, but there is no way he was better than Souness. Those blue tinted specs you mentioned are well in place mate.
