Nedalikjovic, so far in his career, needs carefully managed, he misses multiple games.
Hence the reason we have a conditional obligation based on appearances.

No injury as such, but his data shows he's not recovering after training and matches as well as we'd like - which is common for young players when playing in new environments, especially when they join later in the window.

While Sterling is fit and playing well, we should not be rushing the boy. Let him come into it on his own terms, rather him for the future.

Could just be that playing on plastic has caused him some more muscle fatigue than usual. Sterling was always likely to play on Saturday, and with McCrorie doing well when he came on, there was no need to risk the boy. McCrorie missed out completely at Pittodrie. It's going to happen game by game to different players. I would imagine that one of the midfielders will miss out the match squad every game, as long as they are all fit, and possibly one of the wingers too.
It's modern day football, the squads are bigger and they can't all be in the 20 for the game. I did see that the major EPL clubs wanted to be able to list all 25 squad members like they do in international tournaments to keep everybody happy.

He has a recurring knee injury, not too serious at present, but could become so, and he has had some back problem previously, warning signs are there, hopefully he can be well managed to avoid any recurrences.
