Nathan Patterson away to Torino for less than a million. I know we don't need another injury prone player but might have been worth a gamble at that price surely. I'm sure lots will agree and disagree either way.

I'll be honest, mate, I think Patterson regressed so much down south. He isn't anywhere near the same player he was potentially going to be. So, feel if we had gone for him, it would have been more about a bargain price than anything.

Don't disagree, Orange.

I think he moved too early in his career to that level. I don't think his body had developed enough to cope with the demands of EPL at that age. Would have loved for us to have been able to keep him longer to develop, but money talks at the end of the day.

When fit, I think he's a really good player, and I hope everything goes really well for him at Torino.

Orange, the boy Patterson has definitely stagnated, maybe injuries played a part or maybe made the wrong move.

Hopefully, if he can stay injury free (that's a big if), he can get a good run of games and get back to playing well. There's definitely a player in there, but he needs games and more confidence.

He hasn't stagnated. The playing requirements level went up, he picked up injuries, and if you're not playing, you regress. Confidence and fitness suffer.

Anytime I seen him ( on TV highlights mind), he looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights. Move clearly came too early in his career, but both we & him couldn't knock it back.

Never showed up in a Scotland jersey either, so hopefully a season or 2 learning the dark arts of defending in Italy will do him some good.
Good luck to the lad.
