Watched a few English Championship games in last few weeks and they are a breath of fresh air to watch, decent crowds, both teams going for it, individual battles and most of all NO VAR

VAR ruins football fullstop. Red cards in 3 mins, every goal scrutinised, they say it doesn't referee games, it 100% does. I can't stand it.

VAR has been implemented wrongly in the Premier League & the SPL, but no idea about other leagues, the best it's been was the World Cup. VAR should be more like the video ref in Rugby & all decisions are made with the ref, VR & linesmen, the ref has control, asking for multiple angles & speeds.

Phil Clement came out over the weekend and said it's crazy the Championship don't have VAR.

Clement was saying that, after WBA scored the most obvious hand ball goal you will ever see against Norwich, which was missed by the ref. Astonishingly the guy who scored with an accidental hand ball has been banned for two games and the ref and assistants haven't been held accountable at all.
That's what VAR should really be for correcting blatant mistakes, particularly if a goal has been scored as a result.

It's a game for the supporters (supposedly) and I think the vast majority would get rid of VAR tomorrow, work, pub, supporters bus, it's a struggle to find anyone who would keep it. Scoring a goal now has you on edge now more than celebrating.

I'd far rather a ref or linesman made an error than someone watching VAR for 5 minutes then making the wrong decision.

So the player gets banned and the team still collect the points they could potentially have been worth 100 million plus.
