What managers say to the press and what they are actually feeling and discussing behind the scenes are worlds apart, mate. He's hardly likely to slaughter the current players then expect to get a tune from them tonight. Big egos are easily bruised. I'd be amazed if they aren't looking at another CB, but it may all hinge on Souttar leaving.

Why are there so many pressers these days?
Seems like every second day there's a presser or interview, whether it's the manager or a player.
The club aren't going to come out and tell the fans everything that's going on, surely, so seems a waste of time.

Hopefully not the case, SWS. Would be a shame to cut ties with a club because of a difference of opinions between club doctors. Especially a club we've done a fair bit of business with in the past. Hopefully there's still some mutual respect there.

The Driouech issue was hardly a fiasco. That would have been signing a injured player who may or may not be able to participate for a number of weeks.
I don't think he was our prime target in any case.
