McCinnes really calling out whoever's responsible for signing players in his interview today.
Can tell he's really not happy with what's going on behind the scenes and imo he's been dealt a terrible hand here.
12 Aug 2026 17:13:39
Never seen it, Stevie. What did he say, mate?
12 Aug 2026 17:56:31
Just said we're seriously short of players.
We're playing with fire.
We don't have a left footed defender in the building.
Never digged a direct comment at anyone, mate, but what he said was imo seriously aimed at the football dept and the lack of priority signings.
He wasn't happy.
STV news at 6, mate, you'll see it. I watched it at 4pm, but that's what it was for.

Think heads will roll within the recruitment department.
12 Aug 2026 18:09:49
He's trying to tell us fans he agrees with us and it's not his fault imo.
He's trying to say bear with me.
12 Aug 2026 18:20:21
Cheers mate, I'll give it a watch.
Am I overthinking it here, or do we think there are clear signs of regret from him taking the job? If not regret, there is definitely deep-rooted frustration.
12 Aug 2026 18:39:07
Wouldn't be surprised, Sunshine.
But, hopeful we get the new recruits in rebuilding asap.
12 Aug 2026 18:43:30
Sunshine, I think he's been lied to about the support he'd be given.
That's just my opinion.
A lot of his interviews scream frustration at the recruiting dept.
Imo he'll never regret taking the job and I wonder if that's why the rumours of sackings have come out.
I think he's gone to AC and Paarag and complained about his lack of support.
12 Aug 2026 19:28:06
Bjornebey ready to leave Rangers soon.
13 Aug 2026 00:02:12
Didn't Sting just sign a deal to keep him longer term? What on earth is going on?
13 Aug 2026 00:17:12
Why would McInnes go to AC & Paarag to complain about lack of support, as they are the people responsible for providing support?
The only real interest they have is the balance sheets, they saw us as an opportunity to make a quick buck.
Their aim is to stabilise finances at the club & try to sell at a profit, I can't see them being here long term, underestimating the problems and thinking it would be easy to return to the top in Scotland.
13 Aug 2026 01:04:42
Jasp, I agree they wanted to flip the club maybe in 3-5 years.
They now know it's not as easy as they hoped.
They're going to need to make us successful if they want to sell us at a profit, they're about £150m down as it stands maybe slightly more.
£100m to buy
Cleared £30m ish in debt
2 or 3 share issues
They're over £150 down I estimate.
I thought they'd get us in top and sell to Red Bull for some reason, I don't know the connection, but they seem to have one.
Who realistically wants to buy us when we're playing conference football and finished 3rd in the league.
They'll struggle mate.
Wish one of the English clubs owners fancied it.
Kroenke, Radcliffe, Saudi mob or even Newcastle owners.
We wouldn't be a feeder but a partnership club with these modern day elite clubs.
Gives us a connection and a Preston the elite community that were nowhere near otherwise,
A lot of fans would be up in arms in case we're the smaller club but it could help us attract the best youngsters and fringe players we couldn't otherwise get a sniff of.
Red Bull seems to have a me.
