An excellent experience watching the b team last night.
Young Aiden Mcallion run the game from start to finish. Really impressed with him.
Lawson was a stand out the first 45 minutes too, direct with great movement.
Having been involved against many of the b teams I feel they two have an excellent chance of progressing. Nsio did the same a few years ago and I've always hoped he would be a part of our midfield one day.

I would love to see one or two develop from the academy, we need to show a route from there to the first team, if we are to attract top talent.

Getting the academy pathway to the first team right - and it is looking more positive than it has for a long time - is essential for both football and financial reasons.
You only have to look at Robbie Ure as an example of not offering that clear pathway.

Not too sure how it's looking clearer now. I think it's as far away as it's ever been. There will not be many games where we can bring on youth.

Robbie Ure was getting involved with the first team and was offered a deal and chose not to take it. In hindsight, everybody is pointing at losing him as a mistake but would those same people have wanted him in the first team at the time. I doubt it. It's great that the development loans are giving some of our boys a chance to play men's football in lieu of a reserve league or entry to the leagues for our B team, but there are still issues that need addressed to improve youth development in this country, and it's not always the fault of individual clubs.
If you listen to the opinions of the likes of Beale, Koppen, Clement and other outsiders coming into Scotland, it becomes obvious who is to blame for most of it and it's getting worse.
