People now worried young Curtis hasn't signed a new contract yet. I was gutted our manager let him go on loan in January because I thought he was better than Gassama and Antman at the time.
People on this site saying he had to go on loan because he wouldn't get a game. ( HE ONLY wouldn't GET A GAME BECAUSE OUR MANAGER wouldn't PLAY HIM ) no other reason.
Please believe me when I'm not saying this with hindsight I thought all of this at the time when we had a league to win.
If Danny does the Buisness this year I'll be the first one to hold my hands up and say I was wrong.

It was a good move sending Curtis on loan, Rab, and I don't know why people are worried about his contract, he's still contacted for another couple of years before any extension.

Going on loan was fantastic for his development. It worked well. Can we not just be happy for him and us. Can't say he would or wouldn't have played more. No one knew Skov would be a dud either, so at the time, given the competition for places, the best was done for him to play every week.
It was a success and we benefit, also gives a great example to other youths what can be achieved so it's a win win all round.

It has been said recently by Curtis that he pushed to go on loan. So perhaps Rohl saw him staying but not getting as many minutes as he got at Killie. Curtis wanted more time on pitch, so pushed to leave. The loan has worked perfectly for both the club and Curtis, it would seem.

Antman was injured, actually our most productive winger in minutes to contribution. Really hope we keep him and see him fit next year. I had seen him a fair amount in Holland before he came here, and he is a player, just think he's had a difficult first season here with Martin and injuries.

Low pressure environment to play men's football, build confidence and improve. Of course the loan was the right move.

I thought Rohl has managed Curtis well. I expect to see him playing a good number of games next year.
I hope we can get a few others out on loan like this next season.

Cast your mind back to mid January. Take a deep breath and do that. We are in talks to sign Andreas Skov Olsen on loan. As fans, many of us had "reservations" given his previous injury and lack of minutes at Wolfsburg, however the vast majority of us thought if we could get Andreas Skov Olsen back to any level of his previous Brugge form from a year previous he could be a game changer in a title race. We did not sign Skov Olsen to watch Findlay Curtis flourish from the bench at great cost to ourselves. Findlay Curtis was smart enough to realise Skov Olsen was going to be given priority minutes on trial and demanded to go out on loan to gain valuable minutes elsewhere. Hindsight is wonderful, isn't it. If you were firmly in the Skov Olsen must not be signed camp and Findlay Curtis must stay, then fair play to you for calling it out at the time.
