Maswanhise – is he worth the punt?
Well, we blew £8 million+ on Chermiti who doesn't score.
We blew £3 million on Miovski who doesn't score.
We blew £6 million on Danilo who doesn't score.
Some wanted a punt on Bowie who scored less and has gone for £6 million.
Some even think Archer would make a difference.
A striker who has a 11% goal conversion and has scored 2 goals, 0 assists and 5 big chances missed from 19 attempts a goal.
Maswanhise – 27% goal conversion. Better than every Rangers striker.
We greet about our strikers not having enough chances.
Maswanhise has 13 goals, 2 assists and 7 big chances missed from 49 attempts at goal.
Danilo has 3 goals, 0 assists and 2 big chances missed from 20 attempts at goal.
Miovski has 3 goals, 1 assist and 7 big chances missed from 20 attempts at goal.
Chermiti has 4 goals, 2 assists and 3 big chances missed from 25 attempts at goal.
Going by their current statistics, none of our strikers would get to his target with double the chances.

We can't keep hoping Chermiti, Danilo or Miovski will start banging in the goals.
We can't hope that Archer comes in and regains form from 2 years ago.
We can however expect a player on a rich vein of form to continue – that man for me is Maswanhise.

For me these stats are more of an indictment of the creative players in the team, wingers, midfielders and full backs. Maswanise has had double Chermiti attempts and he has only missed 3 big chances.
We can say that his movement needs to be better in the box but when there is nothing coming from midfield or out wide into the box it's natural to stop trying to get space.

We all say he needs space to run into and he won't get that at Rangers, well, yesterday when the game opened up there was plenty of space but our collection of clueless forwards didn't know what to do with it.If we had someone with real pace in behind and a goal threat we could go longer quicker at times and exploit it which at the moment we don't do because there is no point.

Rangers review said Anderlecht to pay around 3m euro for Maswanhise surely that can't be right unless he has a get out clause if so we should bang in an official bid to see if accepted automatically.
