I saw your reply appreciate you coming back.

I totally agree with you on the so-called leadership group. You've been vocal about it for a while and you're right: none of them are real leaders, and that's exactly the issue. I honestly hope we don't hand Tav a contract extension, because that would be a sure-fire way to kill off next season as well. We need a new captain and vice-captain a fresh start away from the Taverniers and Butlands.

As I said earlier:

If we give Barron some experienced players around him players who actually want to help his development the same way older pros used to do plus a bit of creativity beside him and teammates who play for the badge, then both Barron and Cameron would flourish, along with Curtis.

EHL, if you feel we don't have time to invest in their development (and a few others), where does that leave them?

I've said for a while now: if we can get a CB, a DMF, and a striker in January, that would be a solid start. Depending on who we can move on, we might even manage to bring in one or two more possibly another CB and a proper playmaker.?

What's your thoughts on the January window?

Agree wholeheartedly Stig we need 3-4 first team ready signings this January. Then 2-3 each window thereafter and stop trying to do everything at once.

If we get real quality and experience in with some real leaders it would make a huge difference.

We also need to get a Scottish core (Europe requires it) history reminds us all past great Rangers teams had a strong Scottish presence.

Stig, I think we need a different balance to the squad - we should have about a third who experienced and first team ready, a third who are maybe a slight drop in quality but know the league and are 'good pros' and a third that are signed for their potential.

This creates the capacity for development.

As it stands we probably have about 10%, 20% and 70%.
