Any news on a CB and a striker? A think few more loans will join at the end of the window but it seems we're stuck for a CB atm.

Leacock Macleod from wolves deal seems to be agreed, never heard much about him but is a winger, maybe suggests that we've missed out on o'halloran for definite.

Any ideas on who the CB and other striker warbs says they're still looking at? Would like it to be mariappa but in my opinion if it was going to happen it would've already.

As in today Robson Kanu is without a club, a think we'd be daft not to at least put our name in the mix. Still waiting to see what happens with a CB however I don't think the American we have on trail is the answer to that, and in a prefect world i'd love to see Bradshaw for the striker but I can can see us missing out.

I think his form in the euros will make it very difficult for us to get him as I imagine plenty of clubs will be in for him. As for the American I agree that I don't think he is the answer. I feel we need a younger and more mobile centre half if we are going to compete with Celtic, their 2 main strikers are much better on the deck than in the air and are both quite nippy players. We need to try and sign a centre half who is quick. Mariappa would have been ideal but that doesn't look like happening.

Barton should just be the start. If we actually are serious about taking on Celtic next year and going for 55 then we need a new centre half partnership, a RB that can defend better than tav as cover, a new striker and a few good quality squad players like crooks will be in my opinion. Bigger better squad with warbs tactics and we can be very successful next season, Celtic can be for the taking.

Watched Crooks a few times and guarantee he will be in the first team .
Big strong, good passer of the ball and can score, will be a great signing .

With the amount of Midfielders we have bought I have a feeling that Warbs bought Crooks to be a CB.

Good point and you wonder what the midfield is going to look like next season. Barton, Halliday, Holt, Rossiter and then wingers McKay, Forrester, Windass and O'Halloran. Maybe try O'Halloran through middle?

I think crooks will be a starter at CB. I think his reputation of being a big, strong, ball player but at the same time no nonsense could be a great combination for the team, particularly with our style of play.

I think the only players I've heard of so far that any possible move could be done for are
Barton, kranjcer, canos, cummings and dorrans.
Yet to see any other names that I think could be turned true.

If we managed to get Danny graham I think that would be great signing for spl standards. last couple of seasons he's been nowhere near his old self however get him back to half the player we was and he would be a great spl player.

Not for me he's struggled for goals since he left Watford plenty a young lads down there banging them in would be looking for a lot less wages than him I would pass on that 1.

On the contrary, he has something to prove now and a move north could be exactly what he needs to get back to his goalscoring feats of Watford, I think he would be a great signing.

I'm pretty sure Iv read the same article as you and all I can say is, it's a non starter, this guy has been in the prem for years, ok he is playing in the championship at the moment (not sure if he is on loan) but he must easily be getting 30k a week, what can we afford weekly wage top line? 15k at a push?
Do any of my fellow gers fans know who the highest earner is and what their wage is? I imagine that it'll be lee Wallace and I'd take a stab at 10k a week maximum. Might be wrong but it's just my guess. Also is Danny graham hungry enough to succeed up here? He's been about a few clubs in the last few years and never really done anything to note. Just my opinion on the matter.

He is out on loan to them in the deal, would surely mean another midfielder in on loan before window closes.
