I really don't care what other people post, Tavernier would be the number one rb for Man utd Arsenal and spurs quite easily, they rb are not upto much.

The goals he gets wins games, many rb average 15 goals a season he is far better at rwb and his crosses maybe don't always beat the first man but the balls he put in are spot on, Conte would have him he is far better than there rwb, that Man u rb is not very good yes but not very he is a championship player seen far better players than him in the championship, and forgot he was the top scorer and if we did not have him we would never had made the final we would have been out well before we were.

I've got to admit, I was 1 who criticised Tav early on. Not now, I can't be more appreciative of the player. However all this talk about would he deliver in the English premiership, has there been any interest at all for him over the years? I've certainly not heard anything. Great news for us though.

Too many for too long on here had our captain james tavernier as the whipping boy ?I never was and never would have been one of them as tav is a superb attacking right back with stats to rival anyone ?An absolute athlete with an engine to die for the guy gets nowhere near the credit he deserves!

The fact he plays in Sco or if he was good enough they would sign him are very weak arguments that make no sense. One right back position at Man Utd v hundreds of suitable right backs throughout the globe, They can only pick one doesn't mean the rest aren't any good with that logic the only right back good enough is the one they have. Roberto Carlos was rubbish cause Man Utd never tried to sign him. IMO most of the great players don't gravitate at their peak to the EPL anyway, name one top 10 player of the last 30 years at their peak moved to the EPL. EPL is over rated and getting stale, its still feeding off the early days when we had Liverpool v Newcastle 4-3 type games.

Also, no denying Larsson was a fantastic player who could have played for the best teams in Europe (and eventually did) but continued playing in Scotland for years.
As said above, just because none of these teams have come in for Tav doesn't mean he wouldn't get a game for them.

Last season Tav scored both goals at home against Dortmund, the first 2 goal against Braga at ibrox,
The first goal against Leipzig at ibrox and this season the first goal again on Tuesday.
His value to us shouldn’t be in doubt,
Thankfully no EPL teams have come in for him yet and let’s hope he signs his contract extension and we get the benefit of his qualities for as long as possible.

SWS OBE I think you have to be realistic. Don't disagree that he has turned out to be outstanding but I remember very well just how poor he was in his first few seasons. Perhaps you and a few others should try and allow others to have an opinion without criticism years later. we all support the same team!

Tav def doesn't get the credit he deserves. What a player, got better every year. Offcourse he's had his dodgy moments, but what player hasnt? His numbers are incredible for a right back. Legend in my eyes!

Our fans too quick to jump on players when going through a tough time, same people that wanted lundstrum out but months later belting out belinda carlisle song for the big man. Same fans that wasnt happy we signed jack.
Same goes for tav, as i says he's had his dodgy moments but anyone that doesn't think he's a legend for our club is deluded. Just look back last seasons europa league run, top scorer. End off!

The amount of plaudits tav has got over the past few seasons. Tav walks into man utd team, arsenal spurs any day.
