I have to say the longer it goes without Kent ior Alfie signing the less confident I am. Does any1 have any news on either.

I reckon it’s all to do with the champions league qualifiers, they can probably negotiate a higher salary if we’re in the group stage. Like wise if we didn’t make it then they might leave before the window closes?

MPH - i think you are spot on mate - -we won't hear anything from these two until January, when they can effectively leave for free and rake in a massive sign on fee.

Both will be mindful of Goldson's situation although given John's comments, especially with Kent's partner now working in Scotland and the horses settled back here, hopefully he will sign a new contract soon.
As for Alfie, I am more concerned about his injury since it was clearly more serious than we were led to believe and in his absence we do not have a player of his quality as far as I can see. With Roofe injured and rumours afoot that he will move on, we really do need to sign a top quality striker.

I sincerely hope Rangers are not allowing these 2 players to control what's happening, neither is irreplaceable despite the protestations of a few of our fans, NO ONE is bigger than Rangers, Kent especially is doing nothing to make me think he should be in the starting line up. Alfie, well, he's been a prolific scorer, but not for a wee while now, and this is 2 seasons now we've had this. Demand an answer Rangers, and get rid if they won't sign, but any fee will be on our terms.
