As a Rangers and NI fan I'm asking this question for selfish reasons as NI need players. What are the posters impressions of Young McCausland, in your opinions will he make the grade in Rangers first team or is he being blooded?

Good player still very raw and niave though defensively but to be expected. If we sign manhoef that may will put him back a bit progress wise.

He is by no means the finished article, but for someone who has a bit to go before that he sure gives off that impression of a regular in. his.

not finished article, must start looking up when running with the ball,

all in all, very talented and getting better, bit frail looking but he will toughen up,

Carrick I previously wrote having watched mcauasland with b team that he was not good enough, Lovelace is much better as is Archie stevens.

However under clement he looks a totally different player and has the potential to kick on for both club and country.
The hard work starts now especially high new signs coming in.

Footnote Chelsea and Spurs very interested in Stevens.

I really like him.
More importantly, Carrick, the manager trusts him to start him regularly now.
Which is brilliant for the rest of our Academy boys.

Carrick, six months ago I thought he'd be nowhere near the first team, now I think he's every chance of being a regular.

Seems like a grounded lad with a good head on his shoulders which is a massive plus for a youngster coming through. For me he’s been good and it’s been a solid start but he needs to keep improving and progressing which I think he will under big Phil. Signing a new right winger might not help him though and I think we’re going to.

He's a cracking wee player. He's got plenty of pace, he's direct, can beat a man on the wing and can score goals. The left wing is his position to lose at ibrox and the way he has performed recently he could be hard to shift from that position. Hope that answers your question.

Carrick, I'll be honest and tell you I thought he was a bit overhyped, but the we man is making me eat humble pie, every time I see him play he impresses me more. We need to remember he is still learning the game and was throwing in there under difficult circumstances, never looked out of place once imo, and he is only going to get better. PC trusted him to start in some of our biggest games, that speaks volumes of the boy. I'm starting to get excited about him, I feel the energy in the stadium rises, when he gets the ball, that's some compliment for a boy his age.

He will make the grade, he's done really well since coming in.

This is the very "beginning" stage of a fantastic career for the young lad. Head firmly on his shoulders and just bleeds Blue . the type of player like young Patterson who will benefit our club in spades down the road when the big boys come knocking.

Cracking wee player only going to get better and has a big future in my humble opinion.

I believe that under Clement and the current coaching team he will develop and could certainly make the grade at Rangers. My biggest worry is that as soon as he shows any real talent he will be sold and we will be back to square one again.

Carrick from what I've seen is absolutely raw fearless potential let's say. he's far from the finished article and probably in the 1st team by default but he's done very well so far.

He is a first team player, starter at the moment as well, expect us to bring in another for that position but with the amount of games the starting slot will be shared with both getting time every game, his directness and work rate are great and seems to be getting better every game, big thumbs up from me.

John 227 could Stevens be swayed like Gilmour was? Would hate to see us lose another massive talent for next to nothing.

He’s made the transition from B team to first XI much better and quicker than I thought he would. If he knuckles down and listens and lives the right lifestyle off the park he has every chance of making it. I’ve been impressed in games he’s played in and his strength and conditioning is only going to get better.

I would say he`s already a regular but the left wing position isn`t his to lose because he is a right winger, Sima plays on the left . He`s had a great start, good going forward, direct runner and clever passer. His defensive work is getting better and better. He`s kind of come from nowhere but he already looks like a first team player and should be an asset for Rangers and N. Ireland in the coming years.

RFC 55. Definitely, he is seen as a major star for England under17 a very hard set up to break into, sings for any English club three years later he is classed as home grown

Stevens is an exceptional talent.

Some players play higher level easier than youth level it’s weird

But mcausland for me going forward is brilliant and looks every bit a top class player think people are under rating his performances and passing and vision

His defensive work however leaves a hell of a lot to be desired and need to learn a whole lot more how to help out team while defending.
