Smal has more assists than anyone in the Dutch top flight I’ve just read, with stats like that, and from what I e seen- I actually really want this guy- skill full, athletic- and has a better delivery than even borna, hence all his assists this season. Would be a absolute steal.

He doesn't have any assists so far this season according to Transfermarkt, does look to have good attacking attributes though, dutch footy is quite different to what we play, if he does sign it will be interesting to see how he does, on paper he looks a great replacement for Borna.

If we get Smals would likely be in the summer during the big rebuild.
only way we are getting any new LB's in this window will be if Yilmaz is sold, and that would have to be silly money like 10 mill.
PC isn't daft he will not sell a quality young talent like Yilmaz unless it's an offer the board can't refuse and we have a suitable quality player lined up.
I can't see that happening this window, we will focus on bringing in attacking players as that is the key area where we are lacking right now.

Highly doubt we will bring in another CF this window, unless it of exceptional quality, considering we have several in that department already, Silva, Dessers, Sima will be our main CF's with Roofe contributing when he is fit and of course Danilo when he is back in a couple of months.
Can't see any big money being spent right now.
Different story in the summer window though when the big clear out happens, Clement will have a pretty good transfer kitty, with extra money potentially coming in to add to that from the Europa run, and of course the 50 mill purse if we get the Champs league group stage money potentially 14 mill plus the bonus percentage for our co- efficient rankings ove the last 10 years in europe, we have continually out performed expectations regards this bonus, so potentially and extra 20 25 mill right there, approx 40 - 50 mill is we make it there.

PSV would have bought Smals already if he was on the level they want, they are a real deal champions league level team, and have plenty money to spend, there player trading model is superb.
Smals will never be at PSV, all there LB's are levels above Smals.

Roofe has been breaking down with regular injuries since he was in the belgian league, nothing new there.

We have 3 natural LB's in the 1st team squad, Yilmaz, Barisic, Yfeko.
Sterling is a RB always was, always will be, same as he always was for over 12 years at Chelsea from there junior squads to there under 23's before joining us.
Once Tav goes end of next season, or earlier if we get the right offer.
Sterling will be 1st choice RB, JEEEZ yersell ya walloper.

Laudrup sima has played on the left for us you can’t class him as a CF and he is injured and we don’t know how long for. Danilo out till April roofe out for the rest of his career. We do need a striker it’s a must.

PSV have 3 1st team squad LB's - Mauro Júnior, Patrick van Aanholt,
Fredrik Oppegård, and 3 RB's in the 1st team squad - Sergiño Dest who can also play LB, and currently does for PSV, Jordan Teze, Shurandy Sambo.
I pay a fair amount of attention to the Eredivise as my second team after Rangers are Ajax, who have been rubbish this season, compared to the way they were playing 2 seasons ago.

Laudrup Sterling will not be new RB for me. He will be used more in CM CDM role. Or used where needed depending on injuries etc. Don’t get me wrong I like Sterling huge potential. He looks better in CDM for me.
Another striker is needed due to injuries. It was stated Danilo out for season now. Sima out also and Fabio is not a striker.

Correct Strom, Sima has played for us on the LW, mainly due to the fact Lawrence and Matondo keep picking either long or short term injuries, once we get a fit starter in as a natural LW, Sima will either move over to RW, which is his natural position or Clement will play him in his other secondary position which is CF, especially if we bring another RW this window as well.
So we are not desperate for a CF, Silva is a CF has been since he played in the porto under 16's, along with Angel Torres the young columbian lad we are looking at from central coast mariners here in Australia.
We need goal scoring wingers, which Clement has always had in his prior squads both in France and in Belgium, it's standard for most teams playing attacking full backs (which we have for quite some time) to have pacey talented goal scoring wingers.
Another reason Clement signed up Mcausland on a new contract he has pace, is young, can score, and cut inside or sprint down the line.

Someone said psv won’t sign a left back as they have dest.
Sima isn’t a centre forward. He’s best coming in from the left on his right foot.
Sterling played half his games for stoke, well think was something like 13 games as a left back. He’s not always played right back so u are Infact wrong. He also played a few as a dcm.
He will not be tavs replacement this season or next that’s for sure.
Tav will stay for his testimony all year.
Lastly, silva played on the right side for anderlecht go look it up. He played on the left for psv. Done pretty well for anderlecht in that position, not so good for psv on the left

Sima plays on the left wing because he is our main get out and his work rate to help out the left back ; not saying he can’t play a no9 role but is more valuable to us on left, the signing of Dio if it happens might see us play through the middle more, the main part of Clemente style is to get the ball forward quickly even if we lose the ball more we end up making more chances.

I think Roofe will only play for us in Europa league due to his fragile body and fact he’s in the euro squad already means if fit he’ll likely be kept for that comp only. Maybe see him in a few more games depending how well we do in Europa.
