Do you not think that maybe we're not trying to sign him up on a pre contract but instead might be trying to just buy him the now? Start lowballing due to his contract expiring then negotiate til we meet at the right price? I'm not saying it is the case but maybe we are trying to sign him.

Why do some people feel the need to lord it over other people who post valuable information and useful insight, just because their info is wrong from time to time or simply not yet corroborated?

We should be grateful to those who have heard some inside information and thankful that they have been kind enough to share it with us. I really don't see the need to have a go at valuable contributors as this will only serve to discourage them from posting, to the severe detriment of this site.

The same was said about Cantwell - he's signed a pre and i got some stick for saying that he had not and Mick Beale wants him now not in July and we will have to negotiate with Norwich and pay a fee - it is the same scenario with Ruskin - Mick Beale wants signings in now to get things rolling immediately - fees will be agreed with Standard and Swansea soon for Ruskin and Whittaker.

Fabrizio Romano has the inside line on transfer dealings. It was he who broke the Ramsey transfer last January. He’s saying a bid has been made for Whittaker, and I believe him. I actually think Beale doesn’t know if we’re bidding or not, or is deliberately misleading people - It’s all getting very strange.
