From what I read about him, his time at Atlanta was a mixed bag. It started off well for him, but later on, and especially at the end, it all went wrong. I also read that the Atlanta fans wanted him out.

MPH and Sunshine. Don't believe what you read in the media. Carlos was very successful in his 9 years at Atlanta. He helped them to be MLS champions in just his second season. He is also responsible for signing then selling Thiago Almada 21 million and Miguel Almiron 23 million. Other successful players he brought in were Nagbe, Guzan and Josef Martinez. Atlanta brought Garth Lagerwey to the club in 2022 and he wanted a full restructure. It's well known him and Carlos didn't see eye to eye and it was Lagerwey who removed him from his position last year. A position he has taken over and still in charge in ?.

North and South American, Mexican and also European. Youth set up has also changed big time since Poch became national coach. Most teams have a B team which is very close in quality to the main team as well as a reserve team. Idea being you can attract more quality players as they have a bigger pool to play and compete in. Hi Florida, I actually read this on Follow follow and Rangers media fan forums.

From what was discussed, he was very successful at the start, and a lot of their success could be attributed to work he done, but it all went wrong later on. From the Atlanta fans perspective (not MSM), fans opinion were very mixed and bittersweet when he left.

Yes the last 3 years from when Lagerwey came in. He changed everything at the club and restructured it to suit himself. Lagerwey is not well liked or respected over here. Carlos was very successful at Atlanta and they are now almost a billion dollar franchise thanks to his dealings over the 9 years he was there. He will be a great appointment for Rangers. ?.
