Lack of real quality cost Rangers today, fearful of another 1-5 they say deep and let Celtic have the ball, lacked the pace/ nous/ quality to hurt Celtic on the counter attack.

Pena (how long does it take anyone to "get fit"? ) - waste of money - to think Rangers could've signed Moult, Walker and Lafferty for his fee.

McCrorie, Windass played well.

Morelos too isolated and lack support.

I'd have given Matt Crooks another season too.

Windass played well? When?

2.) 23 Sep 2017 15:33:21
Personally think yous should be happy with the progres made. Much improved first half and kept it down to two goals. It is clear that Caixinha has brought the team on since the bread man.

3.) 23 Sep 2017 15:49:50
Agree spelt progress wrong mate🤡

4.) 23 Sep 2017 16:04:12
Sorry mate keeping it down to 2 and being happy with that no not good enough. all the games against caxhina played against them we've not got near them I don't see it changeing yes we've got better not that much seeing the money spent I think he's clueless not suited to scottish football

Encouraging display, Need a goal threat, I'd give Hardie 90 mins V Dunfermline.

Jo Dodoo is the best natural finisher at the club, play him and we will see goals.

2.) 07 Aug 2017 09:43:05
Dodoo murder man he's no the answer but definitely need walker and a striker probably from the scottish league's as there to pricy down south.
One million for waggys a good bit of buisness for us

3.) 07 Aug 2017 11:24:12
Millers First touch and decisions at times are brutal but we need his workrate and he rarely does he miss those chances like the one he had yesterday.

4.) 07 Aug 2017 18:20:23
Dodoo is a shocking player surely the next one to leave

Is it any coincidence that the "spine" of the team is being "sorted" (by the press reports) maybe MW was unlucky with Barton / Rossiter / Crooks but he never really sorted that fundamental.

Otterhound, I think you are right about bad luck that Warburton had. How could he have foreseen Barton would act like a complete dork and that Crooks and Rossiter would be injured? He made bad signings but to be fair to him that was unlucky. It seems that Alves, Jack and Dorrans are going to sign and Pena is flying in from Mexico for talks.

2.) 30 May 2017 10:10:59
Barton had a track record of being an idiot, rossiter was known to be made of chocolate and crookes was injured before he came so rather than being unlucky I'd say he was clueless

3.) 30 May 2017 10:18:23
"Barton would act like a complete dork" - It seems more like barton gave a good few home truths and the likes of Halliday and Warburton couldn't handle that.

4.) 30 May 2017 10:26:14
If they do all sign then it's looking good for next year. A ball winning CB and a goal scorer has to be next on list and it's positives all round for new season.

A fit Rossiter, Windass and Crooks
Add Callum Paterson, Kenny McLean, Graeme Dorrans, Christophe Berra, Kyle Lafferty and a couple of foreign boys = a vastly improved Rangers, the rest is down to the manager.

Berra, Dorrans and Lafferty will have no sale value and the club needs players which they can sell on at a profit. I rate Dorrans, I'd even be inclined to take Lafferty back, even though I though he was a donkey when he was with us, he would be an improvement on what we have. Berra is a now for me. Too old, too slow and only good in the air. I'd take Paterson, Mclean, Jack, Walker any day of the week as they are better players than what we have.

2.) 30 Apr 2017 08:39:13
That would be not far off the garbage we have now.
Patterson out up for another 4 months.
Lafferty is rubbish offers nothing
Bera is shambles
Dorrans would be good
McLean unsure of. Better than what we have.
There are no players in SPL worth taking. Should be looking at eastern Europe. Hungry Serbia Bosnia Albania
This wanting Scottish players is garbage. The are rubbish in international games.

3.) 30 Apr 2017 09:22:01
Hey Jamie- I'd be inclined to disagree about bo players in the SPL being worth taking. I'd be interested in Jack/ Souttar/ walker/ Lindsay of Partick to name a few. Not because they are great players, but they have potential.

4.) 30 Apr 2017 09:22:52
Don't you remember what happened when Le Guen filled our team with foreign players? All the best rangers teams assembled without spending £30mil+ have had strong Scottish talent. What we need is not a team of Pedro Mendeses, we need players like McCulloch, Thomson, Weir etc. who know what the Scottish game is all about.

There are plenty of players in Scotland who are very than what we have, hence why half of them have beat us this season! Liam Lindsay, Crawford, Jack, Paterson, McLean, Walker, Boyce and Hayes but to name a few.

5.) 30 Apr 2017 09:32:07
Now is not the time to worry abt sell on value, its now a race against time to stop the dreaded 10 and if that means bringing in guys like Laff, Naisy and Dorrans then so be it

6.) 30 Apr 2017 10:03:57
Don't really understand the obsession with 10, might make a decent song but much more important will be that we get our house in order, demonstrate progress and be ready to take our chance when we get momentum and they inevitably dip.

7.) 30 Apr 2017 10:30:51
This talk of ten in a row, i know its a statistic both sides of glasgow would be proud of but i think the green side are forgetting that we weren't in those league races for the past 4 years, even including this one! Its not viable to me but as i said it would be something to be proud of, the days of 9 in a row was challenging because both teams were in it

8.) 30 Apr 2017 12:12:01
JLS- 'Now is not the time to worry abt sell on value, its now a race against time to stop the dreaded 10 and if that means bringing in guys like Laff, Naisy and Dorrans then so be it'

Oh dear, it would seem we haven't learned from the past. You would hope that the days of buying players and not investing in players were well past us. If Murray had had some foresight back in the 90s, we would be in a far better situation.

9.) 30 Apr 2017 13:05:37
The guys i mentioned won't cost a fortune to bring in tho. Warburton went down that rd of getting young players in with sell on value and look how that's going. we'd be lucky to get 5m for our entire squad and that's no joke. Cannon if u don't understand the obsession with 10iar you must just have started supporting Rangers last wk mate. and Daz do you really think Selik care that we wernt in the league for 4 seasons and got deducted 10pnts in the 1st season? the short answer is'do they hell" because if it was roles reversal you and i wouldn't be caring would we?

Judge Warburton on what he has left (player wise) for next season - mmmmmmm, on the style he played - terribly naive given he did not have the players to properly execute a 4-3-3 . Last signings - exactly what was NOT required. Get the spine right (think Goram, Butcher/ Gough, Souness/ McCall, Hateley) and all of a sudden everything becomes easier. Barton was a gamble and he was unlucky with Rossiter/ Crooks, however I posted about a year ago about McAuley, Brunt, Grigg / Matt Smith - proven and trusted players who would've stabilised the whole situation.

McAuley continues to play at the highest level, was given a new contract by a well respected manager and (maybe most importantly) is a leader of men.
