To continue to play the 433 at a higher level requires your CHs to be accomplished ball players and comfortable in possession. Rob Kiernan nor Phillipe Senderos are not either.

Its actually a shame on Kiernan as passing is not his game.

Celtic are formidable at home so trying to outplay them (whilst sticking to your ethos) is blinkered.

The lack of physicality is very noticeable. Maybe I'm old fashioned but I like big CF (Mark Hateley type)

The "spine" hasn't been sorted. As I have said before McAuley and Grigg would've went a long way to sorting it.

There were "not enough legs" in the middle of the park. Barton is a good player but you must give him passing options (like you do any player) .

Windass looks the best player and he should be given the 10 role.

Crooks and Holt will improve things.

Also not in Kiernans game is tackling, marking and defending which is a pity when your playing centre half.

McAuley is an beast of a defender 100 times better than Hill.

McAuley continues to play at the highest level, was given a new contract by a well respected manager and (maybe most importantly) is a leader of men.
