What's the deal with this world cup club spot do we need to perform well in Europe this year to get a guaranteed spot .?

McGirr twelve teams from Europe qualify. We r in twelfth place. European coefficient pints 23/ 24 count. So to hold position we need to outperform teams closest to us.

Think if we qualify for ucl groups we’re in a good place but tbh I wouldn’t mind going through the first qualifying round getting the £5m or whatever and then dropping into the europa groups. Think we could have a decent bash at europa if we got a favourable draw. Even if it went badly and we finished 3rd in the groups could definitely have a good go at the conference league.

David the co efficiency I’m pretty sure is done over a five year period.
Not sure of how they award points in the Conference league for example or how it would compare to the Champions league.

I thought the new FIFA World Club Championship was going to be a 32 team format,12 teams from Europe.
Which include the last 4 CL winners plus the teams who perform best from a co-efficient points wise in Europe for the last 4 years.
The 4 years are from 2020 - 2023 season.
I’m also sure FIFA are re-analysing the qualifying format for the other 8 European spots as a few big clubs will miss out?

We are a long way off getting in it, people should calm down about it as we could have terrible run in Europe and not get anywhere near it like last season champs league or we could do well and make but long way to go.

We don’t want him to lose his physique, we just need him to keep up his hard work. He is back to his old self with Beale looking after him.
You can see how 1 dimensional we are up top with Colak, personally he needs to be playing with another striker and not with the roaming inverted wingers. I just can’t see Colak nailing down the number 9 slot with Beale at the helm.

If Tav had been quicker off the mark he would have won that ball from Morelos and he could have set up an attack. He didn't read the pass coming and when he did get to it his pass back to his centre back was poor. If he isn't fit then he shouldn't be playing but we would need to accept that in the process we would be losing our best penalty taker.

Horrendous pass from Morelos.
Tav in my opinion tries to nick the ball to Goldson when the obvious move was to take man and ball and concede a free kick.
Goldson is caught on his heels as he wasn’t expecting Tav to attempt to pass to him.

Same with the second.
Jota easily gets away from a half hearted Tav challenge.
Barisic is playing Mooy on by a country mile.
It’s then all a wee bit congested and Jack has 2 attempts at winning the ball and before you know, it is landing perfectly for Kyogo.

I like Tav however that early in a game it’s a full backs dream to win the ball and leave one legally on opponent. This also raises the atmosphere in ground. I don’t like to use the captain thing against him or compare to previous captains however previous captains would have made that look like a 50/ 50 with time to have body shape right etc and taken the ball as a tackle not a flicked pass.

You would have to be fair he was sensational in some games that third goal to set up johnny lundstram was brilliant just didn't do it often enough.
