We all know that there's a hugh possibility that our wonderful Mauritanian left winger, Djeidi Gassama, will be lifting the Champions League trophy next season when makes his predicted return to PSG to replace Kvaratskhelia after his electric start to this season with 1 goal, 4 assists and 18 slips.
The big question is, is Gassama good enough to fire Mauritania to their first World Cup in Morocco in 2030?

Come of Fork.
Legendary Rangers winger and Europa League runner up Scott Wright once described Gassama as a someone who plays football and can run quickly.

EHL what's your honest opinion of Gassama? I thought you were quite complimentary of him last season but I may be getting you mixed up with another poster.

He's a typical modern day wide players Souness.
His pace, ability to drive with the ball and pressing are a real asset and something we desperately need in the squad.
However he's pretty wasteful and can fall out of games for large periods.
I really can't stand his diving though.
As things stand, he'd start most games on the left for me.

You guys can't be serious. C'mon, think about it.
If we can fight off the bids from Barca and the like and keep big Makahnya, I don't even think Gassama needs to move anywhere to achieve his Champions League winning medal next season.
We need a poll!
(No we don't, Ed)

Gassama is a player that infuriates even yhe most laid back fans of Rangers,
For me he is useless when he starts games, but has more often than not impressed coming on as a sub,
This will no doubt put my head on the chopping block, but I would use him before Curtis,
Also posted a post a while back about Sterlings run of games possibly being down to him cleaning up his lifestyle and potentially quitting the booze, starting to have faith in this view game after game.

I prefer minsu on the wing that would keep Gassama out imo and use him as a 60 min sub.

Absolute quality input EHL, even better when I initially misread it as you describing him as a modern day Graeme Souness. They are perhaps stylistically different players but if he gets on board with Movember I think he'll be unstoppable, he could easily replace Raskin in central midfield with a moustache.

Rfc22, I think we need a bit of balance in the wide positions.
If we start with Minsu and Bounani, then both want to come short to get on the ball and we become a bit more predictable and easy to play against.
Both Gassama and Yakota offer us something different as they want to use their pace to stretch teams.
So personally I would like to see one of each type of wide player starting.
