Apparently castore has had offers of a takeover from some companies, 1 being sportswear firm from china and brothers who own castore are considering selling the company, hopefully that's good news for us if we can somehow get away from this contract

Why would anything change if Castore is taken over.
The reason anyone wants to buy them is the contracts they have.
If it's a Chinese company, you will never know the difference between fakes & genuine products, and be able to buy on Temu.
