We have sold Diomande, let Barron and looks likely Raskin is away on loan.
And we replaced them with devlin, neil and dragojevic. Absolute shambles, definitely weaker in the middle of the park.

Devlin and Drago have both looked decent signings so far, Neil may come good yet, the three aforementioned had their chance and didn't wow, now did they?

We have replaced Barron, Bajrahmi and Dio with Drago, Neil and Devlin, so I would say yes. It definitely isn't weakened by replacing 3 players no-one rated.
