I don't think McInnes and the board are fully aligned on what's needed, and the board very much have a fixation of buy young and make money, which is fair enough to a degree, but we need the old heads to hold it all together.

Always curious as to what 'old heads' means.
The 2 young players we're signing have both played approaching 300 games between them.
I don't see McRorie, Shankland or Devlin as 'old heads' making much of an impact so far.
I get the requirement of experience in terms of playing time, and I get why the likes of Cerny are so appealing because he has over 300 games and experience domestically, internationally and European wise, but for me simply signing players who are closer to 30 won't automatically change our output.

McN, When I mentioned old heads I meant the most successful teams always had one or two mid 30's players within it and real leaders, Weir, Davis, Rae, Miller etc. I'm sorry, but there's not a single leader in that entire squad right now other than a couple of future prospects who I doubt will even be at the club long enough.
Can you imagine the response of any of the above or a Ferguson had they been playing on Thursday night!
